Opening exchange from a YouTube interview ("THE NEW MASCULINE PARADIGM") where host Josh Trent and a guest introduce and probe a "new masculine paradigm." They contrast older archetypes (John Wayne) and contemporary stoicism with the need for a middle-ground integration that reduces pain and better serves men and women.
You talk about this new masculine paradigm before, we have, like, the John Wayne strong, silent type, and I've even seen a glorification of, like, the ego's the enemy and Ryan Holiday's work, the stoicism return. But even in the stoicism, I feel there's a tightening. So that's not really going to give us what we want as men. And definitely women aren't always looking for that.
So what.
Is this new paradigm of.
Which you speak.
And how did you touch the.
Parts of it that you.
Believed were causing people pain? To have an integration of something in the middle that actually makes sense for all of us?
The new masculine paradigm is an embodied amplification and then an integration of those two things, so that the conscious masculine is aware of the infinite space of unchanging consciousness, but also fully sensitive to feel the space around them, so that there's a perfect blend of sensitivity and grounded consciousness.
