First-person reflection by Josh Trent about a single, life-changing sentence: "merge me with my soul, no matter what the cost." The speaker says this sentence both 'ruined' and 'saved' his life, noting it occurred two weeks before the COVID-19 shutdown and framing the pandemic as a possible consequence or confirmation of that prayer.

The sentence that changed my life in both bad and good ways was the sentence, merge me with my soul, no matter what the cost. And that's a big sentence because, I mean, I'm open to all costs, but on the other side is my soul, right? So as it merged me with my soul, no matter what the cost. Two weeks before COVID started. So I was like, did I do this? Because it was like, all of a sudden, we're in shutdown.
