This YouTube podcast episode (Wellness Force) critiques hustle culture and the pressure to be constantly productive. Speakers describe sacrifices (health, time, relationships, autonomy), emphasize aligning time with clarified values/goals, and give concrete behavior-change examples (e.g., replacing a news app with a meditation app). They stress awareness as the first step to lasting change and highlight personal agency ("you have the power to change your life").

We sacrifice so much.
There's.
We give up our autonomy, our freedom of choice, When we are saying yes to too many things, when we're trying to be productive for the sake of productivity. We sacrifice our health, our time, our relationships. Like we are giving up our lives for ultimately a prize that we don't want, want.
And I think that what we're really.
Trying to align ourselves to is once we have clarity on what it is that we want, because we know it gives us the value we're striving for, our time is going to be spent differently because we were not trying for that same stuff that just feels so fleeting. In a simple example, you can have Facebook on your phone and check it 18 times a day.
But is that going to give you the value you.
Want with your time.
Or is a different activity?
I literally had a news app on my phone that I deleted and replaced it with the Calm app because I would rather look at a meditation app on my phone than some news headline. Like, a simple decision like that is reshaping how I think it's reshaping what my priorities are. And it's allowing me to not say, like, I'm going to have these consequences of poor time management, poor alignment to my goals, poor alignment to who I am as a person. Like, we suffer a lot if we don't have these things in order. And a lot of it is just. It feels like we are victims to the world, but we don't have to be. Like, we have a lot of power. Like, I end every episode of my show saying, you have the power to change your life.
And that's what I really believe.
Like, we have this ability to change.
But we have to start with this.
Awareness of where we are and acknowledge what's actually happening.
