Short excerpt of a conversation (Josh Trent and another speaker) about using wearables and technology to track daily health behaviors (sleep, activity). Speakers emphasize that behaviors outside the gym and consistent sleep matter, and that coaches can use tracking data for accountability and to correct misconceptions (e.g., under-sleeping).

Whether it's sleep or activity or anything else, you're just reminded by seeing your data. Ah, that's actually how I'm showing up in my life. These are truly my health behaviors.
When I realized, well, it's not the hour in the gym, it's the 23 hours outside of the gym that are more important. That's where these wearables and technology can help out. So with the power of technology and all these tools, we can now look at those 23 hours, depending on the client. You know, some people need accountability so we can check in with them. So some people need to be told that something's breaking or it's not. Well, some people think they only need four or five hours of sleep, and then all of a sudden, they're getting the bad data all the time. Yeah, we have all the tools and we have the power. So I was like, well, why not tap into it? And that's kind of where I merged my background using technology and all these tools with my coaching.
