A short conversational transcript from a YouTube video by Josh Trent in which Josh and other speakers (Speaker B, Joseph Mann) describe experiences from a 10-day Vipassana silent meditation retreat. The speakers emphasize the retreat’s difficulty, personal growth, daily routines (walking, ceremony), and the challenge of remaining silent and still for an extended period.
What's up, my friend?
I just had a 10 day vipassana meditation and I just felt pulled to it. I felt called to it. I know you can relate, right? Have you ever felt like you really wanted to do something and it was so curious and you weren't exactly sure why you wanted to do it?
Well, that was me with Vipassana.
I was both nervous and excited because I had heard about sitting for 10 days, what that could do to the mind, what kind of training that could be, and oh my God, did it live up to its harshness? Because for someone like myself who's always talking, always creating, always doing, the hardest thing for me in my life has been just to be in that moment.
One of the most beautiful things about being at this retreat was going on these early morning walks. And we just wrapped up the ceremony. It was 10 days of the most challenging but also the most rewarding situation I could ever imagine. And now we're all set. So definitely learned some things about myself.
Wow.
Joseph Mann. Look, I did this thing. I was in. I was in Judd's ceg machine and it told me I was meditating incorrectly. And getting people to meditate correctly and stopping wasting their time. I just have some fundamental questions about how doable it is. But I. Sam.
