Short transcript excerpt from a discussion led by Kristin Weitzel arguing that women require different biohacking strategies than men. Key claims: many women are under-muscled rather than primarily over-fat, female neurochemistry and monthly cycles (and perimenopausal/menopausal changes) alter responses and mental states, and combined breathwork and cold exposure are especially effective modalities to drive transformation and adherence.
The biggest mistake that women are making is they are focusing on fat loss. We talk about being an obese nation, but we are really super under muscled. And that's the first thing that women need to address. And then the other thing is Kristin.
Weitzel is a certified fitness trainer, breath work instructor, and an active biohacking proponent with a focus on guiding women to optimal health.
I wonder where it came from that men and women were treated the same in regards to biohacking.
Our society was a specific way for a very long time. So we set up the workplace, we set up all the things sort of according to and what works well for men. And so the way that we work, the way that we cycle throughout the course of a month, our neurochemistry of our brain as females is so different. I work with a lot of perimenopausal and menopausal women. There are neurochemical changes that bring about like rage, sadness, anxiety that's not talked about on either side. Breath and cold together are the two most efficient modalities to utilize that create massive transformation and adherence to all these other programs. We need to slow down to tap into those moments a bit more so that we can start to say, what is my response to my environment?
