Two clinicians discuss building muscle during menopause. One describes losing gains quickly after breaks from training and taking three years to find an effective approach. The other prescribes weekly testosterone cypionate injections to female patients, reporting the injectable form dramatically accelerates muscle gains compared to topical cream.

I have to say, building muscles in menopause is like pushing rocks uphill. That's how I've felt about, about building muscle in menopause. And it's taken— I've been menopausal for, I think, almost 5 years, and it has taken me almost 3 to really dial in how to build muscle. It has been so challenging, you know, take a week off, lose muscle.
Yeah. Now, one thing that I'm doing, and I've been doing this now for about the past 4 or 5 years, is rather than giving women cream, testosterone cream, which I would say 90 90% of my patients are on it. But really, it's such an important critical hormone for women. So I have a lot of men that I take care of, and I've generally used testosterone cypionate with them, you know, an injection once a week. So I started doing that, Wendy, with women. And what I found, myself included, is that building muscle is so much easier. It just, it cuts the time in tenths.
