Two speakers explain how retraining your brain rewires your whole nervous system, including the smaller neural networks in your heart and gut. They argue the mind and body aren't separate: when you change how your brain reacts, you change how your organs and cells respond.

There is no mind body connection because there's no, there is no disconnection. Mind body connection means that there's some kind of connection. Like what happens in the body happens in the mind. And the other way around, from my point of view. That being said, would it make sense if something is happening in the brain? Part of what you're doing is retraining the brain, but it's also retraining the body because we hold a lot of tension and a lot of emotional responses in the body.
When we're really talking about the brain, we're talking about the entire nervous system. Because we have a brain in the heart, we have a brain in the gut, therefore the entire nervous system. It's like an information flow, instructional flow, of which the brain is simply the head, as you say, this nervous system that tells the cells, tell these, the organs what to do. It's the intelligence in the entire body. So when we are retraining the brain, what we are really saying is we are regulating that entire nervous system because we believe that those two brain structures have now been conditioned to overreact, to over respond, and that will impact on the rest of the body. But ultimately we're playing with consciousness, right? So when we're saying retraining, we somehow think that that' just some kind of physiological process happening in the brain. Ultimately we are impacting on the way our consciousness functions, which is a very subjective experience, which then, as a secondary effect, impacts on the brain, which then impacts on the organs and the cells of the body. I agree with you. It's one system that we are impacting upon.
