Short excerpt from a Worldwide Ty YouTube video arguing that escaping the "shiny prison" requires temporarily worse living/working conditions (a short-term drop in quality of life) even as income may rise. Speaker uses a manure-to-plant-growth metaphor and blunt, profane informal language to justify temporary hardship as necessary for long-term growth.
What we need to highlight is that in order to get out of the shiny prison, your conditions have to worsen. But your money don't worsen, though. No, your money is gonna be up. Yep. Right. But your. Your quality of life for the moment. Yeah. Is gonna be in the mud. This is temporary, ideally. Listen, bro, manure is used to grow plants, nigga. Shit. You know what I'm saying? So, like, if we just take the approach that Mother Nature give us. You gotta get some shit before you can grow the plant for some growth. You know what I'm saying? Take some shit to grow. Yeah, take some shit to grow, man.
