Worldwide Ty and Yoh talk Beyoncé's concert, streaming culture, and financial advice for young earners. They cover music industry insights, movies, and community impact in a casual, wide-ranging conversation about life and work.
I just got.
And we're back with another episode of FYN with Ty and yo, that's my man Ty. I'm. Yo. This is our second live stream. It's like a special edition of the FYM podcast, Fu Moments. I was having a conversation with Ty yesterday, and I was trying to pitch him on a. On an idea to get an expert opinion, and Ty was like, let's talk about something fun. And I thought it was so funny, because I was like, all right, well, what's fun, Ty? And I found out that Ty went to go see Beyonce while he was in Atlanta. Tell me about that, Ty. You saw the queen?
Yeah, man. It's crazy, right? Because usually, you know, with. With these type of. These type of events, like, I'm usually just. I'll buy, like, tickets or something, and I'll be like, yeah, I'm gonna go check that joint out. But this time, like, I'm out about almost three months in advance. My mom asked me about going to the c. Beyonce. And I was like. My mom ask me. It was, like, early, too. We're talking about, like, April. I was like, dang, is Bill say around the corner? So I was like, oh, okay. Yeah. I was like, oh, so she's serious. So I was like, bet. Let's do it. So going to the show and, like, getting the tickets and all those different things, I brought, like, you know, my girl, my brother, my cousin, wife, and his daughter just. And my mom.
Which day did y' all go?
We went on Sunday.
Okay.
Right. And so I was just like, man, like, first of all, Beyonce's show is disrespectful. Like, she. Her shit's so incredible on, like, the showmanship, the visuals. It's like, I almost was, like, getting mad. I'm like, man, why? Like. Like, this is crazy, bro. Like. Like, you could tell that she's trying to be great at what she's doing. And it's like, the. The newer generation of artists, I think they're. I think they have been handicapped by being able to, like, go viral and all those different type of things where I don't even think they understand the amount of dedication and work that you got to put into something to kind of make. Not just make money, but to like, make a real push at being considered, like, one of the greatest of your era, right?
Be impactful.
And, man, that Beyonce concert, bro, you, like, she got three kids. Like, she. Is. She. She doing. She did. Like, it's. It's kind of nuts, to be honest.
How long was the show what?
Two hour, 30 minutes. What?
She did the whole two hours?
Yeah. No backing tracks?
Yeah, no backing tracks. Is that open?
She don't. She rolled in the sky on three different damn devices. Hell, she wrote, you know, you roll road in a. In a. A golden horse. Uh, it's probably some other she was on, man. She flew around quite a quite often.
What up, Jane? Yes, I can see Jane talking about, yo, can you see? You ain't got your glasses on. Crimes when it comes to Beyonce in the country music scene, though. Like, were you into country music time growing up? No, not at all. He said no. Well, my mom, she's from Alabama, so she got four sisters. We grew up with country music in the house. Like, that was something that was common, but black women singing country music was not something that I feel like was not normal or normalized. So did you feel. Did you feel the country music spirit in the room when you saw her live? Like, do you feel like she was, like, changing people's perspective on country music?
Man, I. I felt like it was nothing but a bunch of black women with. With boots and hats on. Okay. I can't really say I felt the country music, you know what I'm saying? Vibe.
Yeah.
I feel like Beyonce says, cowboy Carter time. We're going cowboy Carter. If Beyonce said, hey, it's fairy time, I feel like Autumn would have been there with the fairies on.
Yeah.
She said, hey, it's freak Nick. Bring your freedom dress on. I feel like that would have been there. It should have said, hey, this is sundress season. But, man, don't come to my show if you ain't got no sundress. I feel like.
What'S cool, though, is that, you know, my boy work at Delta. He. He said, for the last four days, there's been nothing but cowboy boots, cowboy hats, everything but a horse has been at the airport with him. And to me, that's what impact is, is when an artist says, hey, this is what we doing, and everyone shows up to the tens. That's impact. And of course, he's going to show you a great show. For me, though, I knew Beyonce was something different when she did Coachella, right? When I saw the Coachella string, I knew that this was not a normal lady like her. Yo, it was just different time.
Lady, bro.
She won a normal lady. You ever see a performance, she's like, all right. Like, you cool. Like, yo, I saw Beyonce. I said, that's a superwoman. Like, it's. It's different. But to your point about preparation, like, do you feel like artists understand preparation today, man.
Listen, man, Blue Ivy dance better than all these out here. Like, except for Chris Brown, Usher. We talking about older Blue Ivy out here killing all of these young artists trying to dance and say crazy like, no, I don't think, bro. Listen, when I was going to the Kendrick show, him and scissor like it's the preparation for the arena show, bro. Like it's a preparation for it. It's a real, real live blood, sweat, tears. So when you see the weeknd performing of 100 dates a year going all over the world, when you see like Travis Scott circuit, like these are they, these, these guys are rehearsing and they're not, they're not, they're not just, just putting out music. It's a certain level of work ethic that that comes to it. So I, you know, I think you know Beyonce, she's. She's got her f you moment with the Carter. The Carter, the Cowboy Carter roll out. This is a full blown roll out. Like those visuals that they shot, they shot them visuals two years ago. The visuals didn't get shot last minute, last minute, nothing. You know what I'm saying? I think the only thing that they probably didn't take in consideration and I might, they might did take in consideration. I didn't think. But Beyonce should have dropped her a boot line. Cowboy boot line.
A cowboy boot line.
Yeah. But came with the album, boy, because them. They wearing them boots.
But I think it's so interesting that you say that because you know merch and bundles is a big part of album releases now. But yeah, not having a boot line. That's. That's a good idea.
B.
We could have got some queen boots. Some B boots. Another person having an incredible moment right now is Bad Bunny.
Oh my God. I might go to Puerto Rico. I might go to Puerto Rico for. Listen, let me tell you something about F you moment for Bad Bunny. Bad Bunny said so y' all don't with Puerto Rico, but y' all with me.
Guess what?
I ain't leaving Puerto Rico. You gotta come have to see me influence that boy. Said they don't boosted the Airbnb rentals by 35. I think they just said 35, 000 or some like.
Yeah, but she was cool. Is one just deciding not to tour the North America circuit is crazy. Just to make that decision and make people come to you and you're doing a residency in Puerto Rico and not Vegas. It's a, it's a, it's a game changer. Ty I'll never forget, after Wasteland Drive, we had did a podcast and Ty, he was like, man, I've been trying to beat the bunny. I've been just trying to beat the bunny. And when you said that, I was like, that's how bad bad Bunny is, man. Like, he a bad. He a bad man. Yeah.
Oh, now he had. He having a moment like that first. That first show that I saw the visuals on, it's like, you know, you got that many people in an arena and you got 30 dates in. In Puerto Rico, bro, we gotta make sure we. You know what I'm saying? Like, like. And the work that it takes to be able to like, man, that. When I remember when I first seen Usher's poor schedule, it was like 60 dates, but it was all in the U.S. yeah. I was like, yo, yeah, well, he dropped them joints. It was like, I'll probably be capping a little bit. Probably more like 48, but it was a lot.
And this is Usher. This is Usher. This is Usher 46 Confessions. You know what I'm saying? Bunny is. And all Bad Bunnies dates are sold out. Everything sold out already. So that level of just power is so cool to see. I. I might have to go to Puerto Rico too.
I mean, I'm telling you, another thing that's like. That was like, really big a few moments for me. It's like I was in con France for con Lions joint the advertisement fest. And I seen. I wouldn't have seen Maverick Carter speak on this Amazon panel with Casanet. And then I was just like, wondering. I'm like, man, I'm starting to see. I was peeping like, why Kevin Hart is on casa next, like, live stream. I'm like, like ball players and. And celebrities. Like, this just happened, like, in the last eight months. So we cleared like, the last, like eight months. You've seen all these on these streams Until I found out how much I speed made last year. That made like 60 million.
60 million.
But them, these streamers, they making more money than the artist to the point where you got the artists coming on their stream, you got the athletes coming on their screen, the comedians. They got everybody just coming to their streams and.
But you had no idea how big it was before.
I ain't think it was clocking like that.
Yeah, no idea. But see, it's like. But, man, it's because they have the kids. When you're able to pull that level of influence, you get the bucks, bro.
You get all you. All you screamers. You're a new screamer. Brother, come on over here, man. Let culture, man, I. I would 1000% help you build that platform. You understand? Because when I tell you dumb boys running it up and they having fun, bro.
100.
They ain't not here. I remember when Constant that was talking about how they try to get him, invite him to the. The white party, he's like, oh, I ain't going to that. Take care of their homies, bro.
Yeah.
He's like, you got to make sure the bros are good. They so young. You don't. I don't even, bro. Might be 21 years old. So you gotta make sure you take to the bros, like these things, like the rich little rascals, where it's like, no girls. These like the original Rascals, bro.
But now you're not lying, though. What's cool is watching. Because If I was 21, I had five homeboys and we could get a crib together and we just gonna stream all day, that would have been cool. That would have been cool to us back then. So to see it realize now that people are able to do that and make money and, like, put people on. Yeah. Well, Kazu was crazy.
I love it. I'm a fan. I'm a super fan. Like, they be like, I speed. They design their rooms to look like sex so they can just go kick it and chill and all those different type of things, bro.
Yeah.
They had like 41 million people, like, screaming globally, like, he's locked in.
Yeah.
And they'd be on that 14 days, 14 hours a day, kicking it. Well, I can't even do that.
Yeah, you can't even do it. But see, that's when they were doing, like, the sleepovers. I didn't get it. I didn't understand. I was like, why are they sleeping over Kai's house? But it's because it's content, man. Like, you can build incredible content if you get the right people in the right room.
I ain't gonna lie to you.
I was. I was.
I was kind of constantly like, man, what if I got dang. Go disappear for three days. And the only way people can get in contact with me is if I just live screen on some bit, I wouldn't even be able to make it.
Where would you go? Where would you go? Hide out and just stream. If you can go anywhere planet Ozark, Missouri. You would go to Missouri. Why you.
Ozark, Missouri.
Why?
Why? Because of Ozarks, Okay? Because Ozarks. That's. First of all, that's what I'm gonna be In Ozark, these be like, yo, why are you in Ozark? I'm like, first of all, they got the most incredible golf course here, so we start there.
Okay.
Secondly, it's Ozark. The movie. The TV series.
Yeah. I gotta come.
I had to come sit in place. That'll be my whole thing. I'll start going in. I'll go to streaming. I'll go places where they have iconic movies shot at, and I'll stream there for, like, three days.
This is not a bad idea.
This is not a bad idea.
This is not a bad idea. I. I would love to see you on the set, like Jaws or some, like, go Jurassic Park.
Iconic locations where you're like, oh, they shot this movie here. Yeah, right. And be able to just stream there for 10 hours a day. I don't even know what I would.
Do, but I would love to just watch you golf. That would be cool.
For 10 hours a day, though.
Yes.
That would go crazy. That would go crazy. But, yeah, man. I mean, listen, the. It's a lot of FU moments happening, but I think Casa Net. I speed. Beyonce, Bad bunny. I mean, we got to talk about shots. I got that big check.
I got that big check.
Big mvp. Jalen Williams.
Yep.
Big checks. Young boys.
You feel like we, like, an age of the young man. Like, the young man run things right now.
Yeah. These boys make a lot of money, man.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying? They're making a lot of money. And I think that. I think it's important that you know those guys, because you got, like, the Jalen Brown who, like, he talking about investing this money. He's talking about building up his econ, building up his community. But, you know, when we start really gauging into, like, a few money and like, we talking about FU moments, it's like, these are really, really great ways and great conversations because truth of the truth of the matter. And I talked about this on. On one of our. We do these, like, quarterly prayer calls. But I was. And one of the things that. That I talked about was how the miracle fused the community.
The miracle fuels the community.
Fused the community. So it's like. Like, constant. Those boys are miracles, and they're fueling their community, right? They're. They're feeling their community. Their community is their friends, their peers. Kevin Hart do the same thing with his friends, his peers. It's like when you have the opportunity to have a very impactful experience financially or opportunity wise, and you say, yo, I'm gonna bring this community with us, and we're gonna, we're gonna come up together, right? And that is how, you know, all these other ecosystems has been, have been built. And I think that, you know, black people is very important for those, for the younger kids to understand. Hey, man, we can build these things with my friends, people that look like us, things of that nature, and really, really keep building it out and growing it in a pace that, that like, you know, can really make real change. Because I mean, them boys, think about it, bro, we use in high school, you ain't think that you can build generational wealth by sitting in front of the computer playing video games. No. At all.
Not at all. Not at all. It was frowned upon to be on the computer and people like, oh, outside.
Play video game, bro. Video game. First of all, I'm kind of mad, okay?
You gotta mad.
I'm really, I really was like that in Madden. I could have just kept playing.
You was like that in Madden. What's this?
Ran out of time to keep playing. Like, keep playing over and over. Like you started, you, you had mad.
Before that was online. There was no rankings. It was just you.
Going around the city, spanking, barbershop every Sunday, Saturday, fake in the dorm room.
You would have committed 15 years, you would have committed to playing your veteran.
15 year veteran. Been out here waxing on the, winning the tournaments.
Okay, I want to see because, you know, we got The Culture Playbook Volume 2 coming soon. And in the book we talk a little bit about how when people come into money or you get a raise, that people tend to upgrade their lifestyle. Can you speak on why you should not. If you got some money right now, you young, you streaming, you get in some checks. What you should be thinking about with your money?
Well, I mean, you 22, 23, 24, you want to have that same money when you're in your 60s. That's what you should be thinking about. How can I get that money when I'm in my 60s, right? How can I keep that money growing when I'm in my 60s, bro? That's all I think about when I was young. You know, we, we come up in places where you lose people at very young ages. You know what I'm saying? So, like, I never even thought about being 60 at all. Now that I'm 40, I'm like, oh man, I can't wait to turn 60. I gotta, I don't wanna, I don't wanna, I don't wanna have to degrade my life because I didn't make good financial choices 20 years prior. So these boys, these boys, 40 years, they 35 years.
I can't imagine being 60 at 24.
Man, they better put away some of that money and let that thing grow, let that thing compound for them for real.
But like, how would you advise them to do that though?
I mean, I think the biggest thing is invest into AI, Invest into the stock market. You know, really figure out how you're gonna build your business. Try to, try to, you know, try to have as much ownership of your business as possible. Definitely get your, a wealth manager because when you're making that type of money, you're automatically gonna be open up to opportunities that people in a, in a normal, in a normal sense is not going to be open to. I've seen this thing on Instagram, they were saying like the, the global medium for income is like less than 4, $300. Oh my God. A year?
Oh my God, yes.
A year. Global year, Globally. Jesus Christ. Yes. They said if you're making, if you're making, I want to say a hundred thousand dollars a year, you're making 89 more. You're making more than 89 of the people in the world.
In the world. Yeah.
I think if they say, I think it was like 50,000. It was a crazy, it was some crazy statistics.
That's an insane number.
Yeah. So when you making 50 million a year or 20 million a year, you get advantages that somebody that's making $200,000 a year don't get, don't get. Especially you get wealthy managed wealth advisors. You're gon get all of the early companies, all of this AI that's going on, these, all these big wealth invite wealth management firms, they're getting all these, these technologies and these platforms early.
Early.
So if I'm a young BO and I'm getting that much paper, I'm like, yo, I got to get with the big, big financial advisors. You want to still keep your family around, get you probably on somebody, but you want to get, you want to, you want to try to get to the big opportunities. And it's in this gatekeep. If you ain't really got the paper like that.
I hear that. I hear that, bro. Music's been kind of booming right now. Like, there's been a lot of releases. You know what's been your favorite release so far? I'm not gonna lie, bro. I like that Peter Pan joint. Print dropped. I thought, I really like that joint. The Clips drops. It's great album. Bieber drops. He got a joint called Devotion with the genre. I thought super super super fire.
He had his one joint, I think it called Yukon.
Yukon, yeah.
Jumped out at me. I mean I've been listening to the Clips album because I just like when.
Be rapping like you like when be rapping?
Yeah, I like when be rapping. Especially that rap when you. They older. The raps come out a little different when they older.
Yeah. You got a favorite joint on there?
I haven't picked out a favorite joint yet. I just been listening to. To the joints and just listening to the lyrics going back. Yo, it's. You know, these young boys still. They still out here now. You know, the push is still talking, but they still talking about cocaine now.
They're still talking about cocaine.
Elevated. They added some parents in there. They added something.
I was about to say intro. The intro about their. Their mom and dad passed in was very, very incredible way to start the album. I was very surprised that that's how they kick this off and like really got into it. And then they go right into it with the Kendrick joint. Tyler on their rapping like, it's Pharrell's producing at a high level.
Y' all love how Tyler support his friends.
Yeah.
Tyler be going crazy on Twitter for his friends. When Tyler like, he'd be on his. Like, oh my God. I love even at shows. One time we went to the. When Kendra did the. What's the last album? Not the one. The Mr. Morale. We went to that. Who was that concert? And I was like, yo, who is this dark skinned just jumping around going crazy? I'm like, yo, he going crazy. I kept looking, looking. I'm like, yo, that's Tyler the creator. He was losing his. While Kendra was performing. Hear me?
Yeah, yeah, he fan. He. I'm about to say Tyler. You talk about Tyler so highly.
I love Tyler the credit. You hear me? Tyler created that Tyler credit.
Is that to your point, man? Like, do you find this once you start working in the business, is it hard to keep that level of fandom, like to like have moments that you are excited about, honestly and earnestly. Well, I'm not even a. I'm not.
Really a good fan. You know what I'm saying? Like, I'm talking all this about Tyler's music. I'm trying to see if I bought anything that's like whatever, you know.
Why is that though? Is it just. That's just not your thing, bro.
It's like it's hard to be a fan.
Yeah.
So much. You gotta. Then you gotta like try to figure out how to itemize what you're gonna be a fan of. It's better for me to just float and you know, I like some. Oh, I like that. You know what I'm saying? But I can't tell you that I'm a Clips fan. Right, right, right. Yeah. I'm not waiting in line for too much or nothing. I gotta, you know, it's. I've been tainted, I guess.
You've been tame.
Yeah. I don't think I'll ever be able to recover and be a real fan. Like. Like, yeah, it's. It's difficult for me. But I can acknowledge really great showmanship, which I think Tyler has. I think the Clips have Beyonce, like, they take their, their art so serious. I, I can, I can identify, like, I can appreciate everybody's efforts in their business on how they go about like building it. I watched this interview, man. When I tell you Robert Smith. I watched this interview with Robert Smith and Tony Robbins, man. Robert Smith incredible. Like, Robert Smith got added to my. The people I want to meet. Really. That, that man, that man's so smart, bro, about this software engineering and AI and all of those different aspect things. And then another interview I seen that was really great. That, that I'm fan of. It's Mr. Wonderful.
Mr. Wonderful.
I can't even remember the full real name. He didn't invest the. But named Mr. Wonderful. I just think that, I just want to know when he got the nickname Mr. Wonderful.
Yeah, how you earned that.
I wanted to get it before he was a billion or after, like, because I just like that name.
I was like probably on the way. He was probably on the way. And it was like, yeah, that is wonderful.
Yo, he was on that interview I did. I went on dire, the CEO. I love Diary CEO. I watch that a lot with different ones.
Right.
He was on there. He was talking about how one of his founders that want to invest, one of the CEOs he invested into as a woman, she told me he talked too much. He needed to listen more.
Oh my God.
She was just like. He was just like, you know what? She was right. Dang. I loved how he, how he just took that, that took that on the chin for somebody who he's invested money into. It was like, yo, she was right. And he started walking through all of the different ways that like his growth happened through listening more.
Are you, are you good with criticism? Like, if someone critiques you like that, would you be receptive?
Yeah, like for me, bro, I'm just, I just got too much confidence. So criticism to me is just like input you know what I'm saying? Like, it's not gonna. Like some people. The reason why criticism is kind of like this negative term is because some people can. Like, some people can. It can. It can really drive a person's confidence down.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying? Criticism at the wrong time. Like, some people, like, it ain't time for that. Like, I'm the worst. Like, I'm starting to learn not to say when they come to my mind, because the timing might not be right. Yeah.
Okay. It might be more difficult.
But for me, if somebody, like, if I. If. If I, like, did something where I was late somewhere and then I was trying to rush to get there, then I get into an accident or something, and somebody that's gonna call me, see, like, see, you should have left 30 minutes early. I'd be like, man, you right. I would be like, oh, this is not the time. This is not the toy. Right. Because I think facing it. I think facing right in the. Right there, I think it builds character.
Faster versus waiting and trying to, like.
I want to be on it. I want to be in the HOV Lane of character building at all times.
O. V. Lane of character building at all times.
If something. I need that thing to hit me as fast as it can hit me to build my character as fast as possible. Because the truth of the matter is, we don't got that much time. And having bad character can really, really have. You can have a very bad experience here if you. If you're a person that got bad character. So for me, I'm. I want to get all of the criticism as fast as I can get it so that I can build my character, because I'm. I feel like, you know, be on borrowed time anyway. So I'm not trying to, like, this is not the right time. No, give me that. Give me that. Increase my likelihood. Your money.
Yes, sir. Yes, sir.
Your character gets you the money.
We've been going about 30 minutes, man. You got anything else on your mind? You trying. You know how you feel, man, It's.
It's a great day. I'm in Atlanta. What is Wednesday?
It's Wednesday. Yes, sir.
We got some of these. A lot of these current events. Yo, I, I. I booked my. I booked my calendar, so I'll be here for event Invest Fest. I told you. I told you I made a mistake and bought a lifetime.
Yes, sir.
Yeah, I bought the Lifetime Invest Fest pass thinking that I was buying floor seats the first year that should end up being lifetime. I just went and looked and started my joint. I got my ticket already. Every May locked in so much, man.
Ty got. Yeah, okay.
Black men and black women, bro. Like, I love it. I know it's hard, bro. It's hard building a business, you know what I'm saying? So when I'm sitting there, them young man launched that thing. First year, that thing was like 10, 000 a day. I like, oh, I can't wait to get on my money. Oh, my God, I can't wait to get on my money. I'm really, really, really serious about this. Like, really.
That's so fine. So. So you will be going this year?
Yeah, I'm up through there. I'm up through there. They got Robert Smith, bro. I gotta. I gotta go enforce my. My tickets. I gotta go. I gotta go see.
I saw 50 Cent, man. It was really inspiring to me. Like, I never seen one. To be able to watch somebody who performs, sit on stage and speak and have like 10,000 of us in there, captivated, hanging on to every word. Like, man, that's. It does something to your spirit when you see a black man. You do. Yeah. Are you a fan, though?
I'm a fan right now. I'm just really a fan of Denzel, bro. If I just think about it, I'm like, I'll probably support Denzel more than anybody. Besides. No, I can't even think of no other person that's famous that I've supported more than Denzel. What? Denzel Day. September 5th. Why? New movie come out.
You gonna be there? Yes, sir. I'm excited. Yeah, yeah, yeah. We having a good year as far as, like, entertainment. Like movies, music, sports.
I just watched this new movie called the Amateur.
The Amateur? Oh, you saw the Amateur?
Crazy.
You with it.
I with amateur.
Okay.
Yo, the guy I can't name, but I can't remember the name of the guy that act in it, but he played in a movie. If I'm not mistaken. I think he played in the movie with Denzel. Yeah, the got the weird face, but that can act. He can act, bro.
Yeah. Tyler, Movie guy. You're a movie guy for real.
I watch that movie.
She's our.
Yeah, it's a new. It's a new TV series. I think it's on either Amazon or it's on Apple tv. It's called Neighbors of Neighbors of Friends.
Neighbors of Friends. Okay.
Amazing.
Amazing.
Yep.
Okay.
Amazon. And that's on Apple tv. It's about golf. It's another movie.
You're in Neighbors and Friends.
So what?
It's your Neighbors and friends.
Your neighbors and friends. That's what it's called.
Yeah.
Incredible.
Have you seen the studio?
Yeah.
Yeah, bro, That's. That's the next one on my list of things.
I watch everything. But I ain't gonna lie to you. I just started watching last night on. On Netflix. The Resident.
The Resident. Okay.
About the. The black woman that's a. That fights crime, and she's a private detective.
Fire. What. What is it about TV that captivates you, Ty? Like, is it just a storyteller, bro?
The storytelling is important. I think it's, like. It's like the world of imagination, bro. It's like. It's like the world of imagination. The. The world of imagination. For me, you know, I didn't get on the plane until I was 20 years old, so I would travel. We would drive places throughout Georgia, Atlanta, whatever. Or throughout Atlanta or Florida, whatever. Sometimes we. One time. A few times we drove to New Jersey. You know, you had a family. It's like 15 people trying to go. You got a minute? You got the vans and stuff. They pipe up and ride up there like some good Migos, but. But, like, ain't gonna flex. Like, movies is kind of like, bro, it's a privilege, bro. Got to think about it. Being able to watch films, TV series. It's a privilege. Like, they ain't got nothing. The slums in Brazil or the. The offset villages in Africa. They don't got the. The. The. The technology or the. The power or the Internet service or whatever. They're like, wow, it's such a blessing to be able to watch really great storytelling.
Absolutely.
You know what I'm saying? So for me, like. Like, I got one of the homies that work at one of the DSPs. I can't really name which DSPs, but we never talk about. Like, we never talk about music, right? Like, you know, and I do commerce. I do pitching, but we never talk about music. All we talk about on text message is movies. Like, have you seen this movie, yo, you might want to check out this TV serial. This TV series is ill. I'm like, word. I'm gonna go watch that. We don't even talk about work. We literally want to talk about what new shows that we can kind of catch and watch, right?
Bro, that's so fine. I was. I downloaded do the Right Thing the other day because I want to watch. Because they had, like, a Cannes interview with Spike Lee from when the movie first came out, bro. He looks so young. He looked young as hell. And hearing him talk about the film. As, like a 23 year old filmmaker, I was so captivated by the idea that you could be that young until such a serious story. Like the scene with Radio Raheem, the police officer, bro, they storyboarded that whole thing out. Like, they. They sketched out every moment of that scene to have them acted out. So watching the storyboard come across the screen and knowing how intentional they were about that scene, it was the only thing they storyboarded in the movie. Everything else was like, cool, impromptu, whatever. But that scene right there, they knew the importance of executing that perfectly. So, bro, like, understanding how films are made, bro, is. It's a completely different beast.
And this was so crazy. So crazy about what you're talking about, right? I was sending a text message and I was like, somebody. Oh, we were talking about prayer. And I was like, yo, I'm start worldwide prayers. And I'm gonna make it so that. I'm gonna make it so that it's gonna be where people can just hit. You hit this. Hit this portal, and they can just get prayer. They can just get. Because one thing about prayer, like, you got to be careful who you allowing to pray for you, right? So it's like this different thing. And so my girlfriend was like, have you seen Bruce Almighty? I said, yeah, but I don't remember. So we watched Bruce Almighty.
That was hard.
Watch Bruce Almighty the other night, bro. And it made me think. She's like, that's why your. Your idea. Because he. When he became God.
Yeah.
You're trying to figure out how to answer.
I'm so mad, but y'.
All.
Ty, the other day I was thinking about fortune cookies, right? I said, whoever invented the fortune cookie was a genius to pit, like a little note inside of a cookie. Because, bro, every time I get one, I'm excited to open it up. What you're saying is the same concept, like, in my mind, worldwide prayers. Like, you'll get like a text message every day of a prayer. Right, right, right. Bro, I would be so excited to open that every day because I know it's positive and, like, encouraging.
It's just. It's this thought process to be able to reach out to people or community and say, man, I need prayer for this. And it's like, done. It's so much confidence in that, like, to know, like, that people can share, like, their testimonies and stuff like that, bro. It's like one of those things, you know, I'm gonna be building it soon. Been unlaunched it. Like, hey, there we go.
You kind of. You kind of snap with that one time. That's gonna be. That's kind of crazy. That's kind of crazy. I mean, I feel like that's one thing about the church, man. That period where they're like, you know, we're asking for prayers for this person, for these events. It really lets you know how one community is so important about getting through tough times, like, knowing that you can go to church and there's gonna be people that's gonna hold you up no matter what's going on. Somebody could be sick, Somebody could just die. Somebody could got an accident. No matter what, you could always ask for prayer and feel supported there. So, like, yeah, I think that's a part of the church that I. That has never felt like you can replace that. It's not something.
But. Yeah, man, you know, go crazy. A few moments with YO and Ty up in here, trying to keep. Trying to keep the content flowing, you.
Know what I'm saying? Keep the lights on.
Next thing, we're gonna be screaming 24 hours. 24 hours.
Yeah. What's that? What's the movie?
