A speaker describes a mission-driven effort to connect the African diaspora by using technology to protect, preserve, elevate, and amplify cultural heritage. The talk frames culture as a powerful community asset and positions technology as the vehicle to empower and scale that cultural influence.
We actually came together on a mission to, like, connect the African diaspora, you know what I'm saying? Real far out there. Just, like, we want to do this thing. I think through that, we realized that one of the most powerful things that we have as people is our culture and figuring out a way to use technology to empower and really just elevate what we've already done. And I think that's led us to this, and that's why it means so much to us, is it's a way for us to protect and preserve our culture, but then also elevate and amplify.
