Here's why I don't think that women should date in their early 20s. I've been single for almost 2 years now, and I'm genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I thought that I was going to want to find someone because it was nice to have an emotional support, but in the past 2 years, something completely shifted. I just turned 20, and going from 18 to 19 to 20 was the most transformative time of my entire life. I was learning to become an adult, I was making new friends in college, I was getting good grades, I got my first big tech internship, I was building my business, I was making money, I was supporting my family, and I became financially independent. Every single day I had so much to do and so many goals I was excited to go after that I didn't even have time to think about getting with a man. I would wake up, go work out, go to class, and then work on my business and hang out with friends. And during this time, I also became closer with my family because I was talking to them more. I was ranting to them about my problems instead of to someone else. And most of my friends are taken, so I kind of became the go-to person for relationship advice. Sometimes that makes me glad that I'm single because I don't have to deal with their problems. If you're a woman in your early 20s, don't let anyone tell you that this is your prime age for dating. Babe, this should be the prime time for building yourself. I'm not even worried about being married anytime soon. Why wouldn't you want to 10x yourself before you find someone in your league? That's my girl logic.
