5: Credit File - Fixing the issue

A short YouTube video (final in a series) by Aaron Whybrow of Diagnostics and Finance explaining practical ways to address negative items on a credit file. He recommends first calling the listing company to negotiate payment or request removal for small defaults, and for more complex/multiple defaults using specialised professionals (sometimes on a no-win no-fee basis).
Funky credit file part 5. This is the final video in this series. It's about addressing the issues. Hey, it's Aaron from Diagnostics and Finance. Let's say we've got an issue in our credit file and we want to address it. There's a couple of ways we can do it. There's the freeway. Let's say it's a communication default of 700 bucks. Let's pick up the phone. This is where we can pick up the phone to the company, company A and go, hey, hey, Mr. Company A, I want to check what's going on here. How can I address it? How can we fix it? If it's a small default and it's unpaid, maybe on the advice of whoever's advising you to in the loan may just go, well, we can't have it unpaid, we just might need it paid. And then we can put it together with the case and put it up to the bank and away we go. So you might just have to pick up the phone and go, hey, Company A, I just want to get this cleared up and clear it up and have it paid. Or number two, you might go for the jugular and go, hey, Mr. Company A, I want to clear this up and I want you to remove the default and just ask them straight out. It's not the person listing in default is the person that can remove it. So if you get ring them up and have a chat to them and ask them to remove it and there's a logical and nice area that they can work in with negotiating with you, talking through things, you might be able to get it removed. I know I've talked through clients to get even court ritzes removed from credit files that were potentially inappropriately put on there. I've talked through people getting telecommunication people to get their defaults removed so that we can achieve their goal of buying the next home. So small ones, easy ones, and if you've got the time, it's easy to jump on the phone and have a conversation. You never know. If you ask, you may get it. Then there's the trickier ones. If you've got a number of defaults and things, you may need a professional to come into play. I'm linked up with professionals that are able to seriously spend some time and some effort on removing defaults. And they do charge a fee, but they do a very, very good job to be able to remove them. And they sometimes will go under the no win, no fee area. So with addressing the issues, you can pick up the phone and talk to the company that's put it on there because they can actually remove it. Number two is that you can involve a professional as well. So this is part five. Funky credit files.
