Human Body and Home loans

Aaron Whybrow compares your mortgage to your heart: when it's broken, everything else fails. A mortgage broker fixes the heart and coordinates the rest of your finances so they work again.
Hey, it's Aaron from Diagnostics and Finance. I just want to parallel finance to the human body. In the human body, you've got a heart, lungs, kidneys, brain, blood, the heart muscle itself. And one of the things that can happen is if your heart is broken and it's been broken for a little bit of time, you might have an effect on the blood, the heart muscle itself, the kidneys, the brain, the blood circulation, and a whole range of things. It might be little subtle changes, or it might be something big. And what I think is if we parallel that to finance now, if we describe the heart as the home loan and the home loan needs to be fixed, there might be subtle changes that have happened. You might have missed a payment, you might have started to struggle with other bills somewhere else. And then you think of the kidneys and the lungs as a credit card, a car loan, your transaction account, how that is getting affected because the heart's not working. So me, as the mortgage broker that comes in, fixes the heart. We've got to look at other things. What's happening with the credit cards, what's happening with a car loan? How long has it got to go? Can we fix a couple of things to be able to help out? Or is it more sinister that we have to look at changing banking providers? We might need some other people, other resources involved, credit negotiation, default work, things like that. So we can fix all these little things so that when we fix the home loan, everything can work like clockwork going forward. Then you have me as a specialist that comes in to keep an eye on what's going on with the finances. So human body to finance, have a great rest of the day.
