Aaron from Diagnostics and Finance explains why lenders ask for the same paperwork for a $10K top-up loan as they do for a $1M purchase loan. Banks apply the same documentation standards across loan sizes, with only minor exceptions between lenders.
So you're only borrowing $10,000 or even just $50,000. Hey, it's Aaron from Diagnostics and Finance. One of the things that comes up a lot when I'm talking with clients is the need for information when we're only borrowing a small amount of money, say 10,000 or $50,000 versus a person that is borrowing a million dollars for a purchase of a home. Did you know that the requirements are the same in a fully regulated home loan market? The same supporting documents are going to have to be provided for the 10 to $50,000 home loan application according to whichever lender requirements you got. As to the person that is borrowing a million dollars, there may be some small exceptions with some lenders out there. But in the main, when we're going for a $10,000 loan, $100,000 loan, we might think it's small, but the bank will treat it the same as if you were borrowing massive amount of money. All right. Have a great.
