Month 6 Budget

Six months after loan settlement, rename your bank accounts by purpose so you can save for big bills that hit quarterly or yearly. Audit which accounts you actually need, and consider switching from credit cards to Visa debit cards.
Hey there. Welcome back. It's now month six from your settlement of your loan. And this is the real simple video I've got for you. It's the budgetary tip. As you've probably noticed that if you haven't already renamed your accounts or you are in the practice of naming your accounts when you log into Internet banking, you'll notice that most banks will allow you to do this. So naming accounts is really a cool thing. Especially if you run an account for your budget that is accommodating, say the power bill every quarter, the rates every quarter, the registration of your car every year and those ones that most people in an employed job don't get paid quarterly, they get paid monthly or fortnightly or weekly. And, and some of that money that you earn on that frequency basis needs to go towards these bigger bills as they come up. So renaming your account so that we don't have numbers and we don't have product names but we know what so we can identify where we may need to move money from. When the power bill comes in and we log in and we see Bill's account and it's got the exact amount that we need, we know where to pay the bill from. We going for groceries or a snack or something like that, we can either log in on the app on the phone and we can see where we can use money. So yeah, Instead of having 1, 2, 3, 4, let's have something. If you are self employed you might have a GST and tax account and if you're looking for those bigger bills or long term savings or holiday accounts, you can have those accounts named. Also some tips on how to deal with your credit cards and Visa debit cards. If you are wanting to move yourself from a credit card to a Visa debit card, I've put in links in this email below of the four step series that I did on how Visa debit cards and credit cards work and how you can switch from one to the other, mainly from credit card to Visa debit cards because they work the same. So check it out. Rename your account so you know where you're going. Do an audit on your accounts so that you can have only the ones you need. And check out how we can move from credit cards to Visa debit cards with the video series in the link below. All right Aaron, here you next get a voicemail and a text message from me just checking in. It's been six months. We've got to make sure that you're happy and if any questions you have or even any documents you need. So sometimes people need a copy of the loan documents. Again, most of the time they're electronic these days, just to see what the disbursement fees are, whether it's for taxation or anything else that you might need. We can get those out for you and help you out. So we'll be in touch. There'll be a text message and a voicemail come after this video and I'll be keen to hear how you're going. All right, Enjoy, and we'll be in touch soon.
