RBA Interest Rate Announcement Mar 2018

Aaron Whybrow reports the RBA held interest rates in March 2018. He recommends checking your home loan statements for differences between principal and interest versus interest-only rates, and considering refinancing or extra repayments.
Hey, it's Aaron here. Just a quick video on the RBA interest rate announcement today. Two points I want to make. One is they've kept the interest rate on hold so it hasn't changed again for another month. Number two is that it's probably time to pull out your home loan statement, your property investment statement and check out what's going on with the interest rates. There's still a big difference between principal and interest and interest only, and there may be some benefits of moving on to either of those. There's also some differences between owner occupied and property investment home loan interest rates as well. And during the month I usually get a lot of specials come into my inbox and I get a lot of changes upwards with the interest rate. So it's really good to have professional inside check out what's going on with your interest rates, check out what's going on with your payments. And if you haven't seen your home loan statement for a while, pull it out, dust it off and see what you can do to put a little bit extra more money on it. It's always good to get out of debt. And if the RBA does change next month, let's have some buffer in our home loan. All right, have fun.
