A short YouTube monologue by Aaron Whybrow (Nov 2022) advising clients on tidying up self-managed super fund (SMSF) lending arrangements. He discusses resolving mixed personal-to-super loan situations, ensuring private loan agreements are in place, and optimizing SMSF investment loans (rate, product, and terms).
Hey, it's Aaron here. I've been able to help a couple clients recently in regards to their self managed super fund lending. Now in the past they may have bought the property where they might have had to top up their super fund with their own personal money through the private loan agreement arrangements, making sure that those documents are in place prior to you actually needing to put that money into your super fund, they could have needed to do that. They could have also had lending inside their super fund for that. If this is someone like you that's got this convoluted process of some money lent to the super fund outside of super, and you've got a home loan inside your super fund for the investment, whether residential or commercial, I'm looking for you to be able to tidy that up. Because if a year or two years or three years has passed, we're probably being able to tidy that up, release your personal circumstances back to you, you and then get your super fund investment loan down to where it needs to be. The right rate, the right product, the right loan right now. So with regards to this, if you have the official private loan agreements in place related to your self managed super fund and you've had to put money in, I'm looking to tidy that all up for you today. All right, bye now.
