Adam Markel walks through his morning routine: 10 minutes of meditation with a Psalm, hot-tub reading, setting intentions, a swim, and light food, all before 9 AM. He argues that ritual quality directly shapes life outcomes.

Hey, this is Adam Markell. And how you doing? So we were having a conversation that was so rudely interrupted by my camera shutting off. So this is, this is part two, just a few moments later. But the discussion of peace and what I was sharing was from my, from my perspective, that peace leads to freedom. And that freedom is the natural feeling that you get when you feel peaceful. And so, as a part of my daily ritual, I am here at the pool. I've done my meditation already and sat in the hot tub where I love to do some reading and some thinking. And then of course, I'm going to dive in and get my swim, take care of my body. So it's a. It's a simple process. It takes no more than an hour, usually not even an hour. It's 10 minutes of the meditation that I was reading a psalm from the Bible and followed by some just gentle thought, gentle, allowing for an intention for the day, creating that intention, sitting with it, releasing it to the heaven, releasing it to the divine, and then diving into the pool again, thinking clearly how that intention will manifest during the day, allowing whatever those thoughts are to just kind of flow in and flow out as I swim, as I do my exercise. And then, of course, coming out of pool, refreshed, energized, ready to go have a good green drink, maybe put a few good pieces of food into my belly and chew and swallow them and eat them slowly and then get right on with the day. All this, you know, before 9 o' clock in the morning most days. And a ritual. And so again, the earlier video, I was just expressing that for me, what has been truthful has been that when I look at the times in my life when things have been going really quite well, I think to myself, well, what's creating those results? And the thing that's shown up has been these rituals. And so for me, the ritual equals the result. The quality of the rituals that we have in our lives equals the quality of the results that we have. The quality of our lives is based on the quality of the rituals that we have. And so I've just shared a piece of one of my daily rituals that gets done in the morning. Meditation and an intention and the creation of that all at the same time, or just before some exercise and taking care of the health, taking care of the body, mind and the spirit. So I hope you have a blessed, blessed day. I hope you're doing very well. So the question is, how you doing? And I hope your answer will always be, I love my life. And it's been a blessing just to be able to share some thoughts with you this morning. So I'll look forward to seeing you very, very soon. Ciao for now.
