Pivot Backstory

Hi, it's Adam. And if you're like so many other people right now, you're probably experiencing quite a bit of transition in your life. And I know a thing or two about transition since I wrote this book some years ago. And I just thought I'd give you an interesting behind the scenes story about this.

Our daughter Chelsea, our oldest daughter, who walked in on me writing the book one day and said to me, dad, I just want you to know that this book is. Is not just what you think it is. I mean, I was writing the book as a memoir for the kids so that they knew a little bit about what I had been going through in my life and how it was that I was transitioning and reinventing myself and what I was afraid of and how I was facing my fears and how I was taking this step by step process to move forward and to do something that my heart was calling me to do. And she said to.

Me, dad, this book is.

This is.

This is a much bigger book than you think. She said, you got to play a bigger game. Said, dad, you're playing too small.

And that's not what this book is about.

She says, you got to be thinking.

In terms of not just writing the book for your family.

But writing this.

Book for millions and millions of people around the globe. And that was just magnificent because I couldn't see that. I couldn't see myself the way my oldest daughter could. And I know you're. You're like, again, probably in some state of transition at this moment, and I just wanted you to know that you're definitely not alone.
