Hi, I'm Adam and I'm a resilience guy. I've spent my entire career focused on what it takes to be at your best, even in the most challenging conditions, including writing the best selling book on resilience called Pivot. Here's one powerful tip that you and your teams can use today. Focus on being the calm, because calm is contagious. Excellence is contagious. Courage is contagious. I first learned this lesson when I was just 19 years old as an ocean beach lifeguard. The leaders on our field were always modeling what they expected from us. It was a very challenging environment. We had thousands of people on the beach and hundreds of people in the water. We were making rescues all the time, and we had to be impeccable. If we weren't impeccable, someone would be missing. So every single day, the leaders had to model for us what it would take to be successful for that day. They were calm, so we were calm. They raised their standard, so we raised our standard. They were courageous, so we were courageous. So right now, more than ever before, your teams require that you model for them what you're looking for today. Be the calm. Be the calm. Because calm is contagious. It's one small step to creating a more resilient workforce. I hope this helps.
