I am Adam, and I'm a resilience guy. I've spent my entire career focused on what it takes to be at your best, even in the most difficult conditions, including writing a best seller on resilience called Pivot. Here's one powerful tip that you and your teams can use today. The next time you're in a meeting, I want you to think about using these. This is a lesson that I learned when I was a young attorney. To go into court using these to use my ears. Listening is not the easiest skill, and many people have difficulty with it. In fact, I still work on it every day. But the one thing that I want you to do now to let people on your team know that you've actually got their back, is to just use these to listen, to set up a meeting. And the whole purpose of the meeting is not for you to talk. It's not for you to share information. It's simply for you to listen and to let them know that you want to hear what they have to say, that you want them to have that opportunity to be heard. When we think about how we create resilient teams like the teams that I've worked with in my life, the teams that I've been in charge of, and I've had to learn this lesson the hard way, one of the things that we have to do as leaders is simply learn how to listen more carefully. I hope this helps.
