He describes being on a gurney at Freehold Medical Center with electrodes attached, numb/tingly fingers, profuse sweating, and intense fear that he might not see his children again, while also feeling anger about being in that situation.

So I grabbed coffee, get in the shower, forget about it as quickly as I could. And then on a Saturday, my wife and I were supposed to be at our son Max's baseball game. Instead, I'm lying flat on a gurney at Freehold Medical Center. Freehold's the town that we were living in at the time, which is Freehold, New Jersey. Those of you Bruce Springsteen friends, that's his old hometown. And I've got electrodes that are stuck to my chest and my fingers are numb and tingly and I'm sweating profusely and my heart feels like it's on the opposite side of my body. My wife is standing next to me. I'm looking at her. She's a color I've never seen before. And I'm literally in this position thinking the worst, as you'd imagine. I'm thinking I'm not going to see my kids again. And at the same moment I'm also so pissed that I'm there.
