Candid Conversations Guest James Goi, Jr.

In this live, informal interview hosted by Adrienne Barker, MAS, spiritual teacher James Goi Jr. discusses his philosophy and practical techniques for attracting money and manifesting desires using "Mind Power." The conversation begins with light‑hearted personal anecdotes before moving into the core framework: the four essential elements of Mind Power—thoughts, feelings, mental images, and spoken words—and how doubt corrupts each element, undermining results. Goi emphasizes the need for a strong self‑image of deserving wealth; without it, attraction may be fleeting. When asked about generational differences, he argues that openness, not age, determines receptivity to manifestation, noting that the same principles have existed in literature since the 19th century yet remain largely unknown. The role of intuition is explored as "direct knowing" that can guide decisions once the active programming phase is complete. Barker asks about teaching these ideas to children, and Goi recommends using positive affirmations and allowing kids to develop their own self‑concept rather than imposing specific future identities. The discussion then shifts to music and subliminal recordings; Goi acknowledges that certain frequencies can affect mood but cautions listeners to verify sources and stay in control of the input. He shares a vivid anecdote—"the penny story"—illustrating how focused Mind Power practice leads to noticing and collecting stray money during walks, reinforcing the principle that even a penny is valuable when one is aligned with abundance. Gratitude is highlighted as a powerful drawing mechanism, with Goi suggesting that thanking the universe, God, or guardian angels amplifies attraction. The conversation touches on karma, which he frames as cause‑and‑effect rather than a mystical law of time, noting his ambivalence toward the concept of past lives. Goi describes his book How to Attract Money Using Mind Power: a concise, chapter‑based guide that opens each chapter with a historical quote, ends with additional quotes, and provides six actionable steps per chapter. He explains that the quotes demonstrate the timelessness of the ideas and lend credibility. Finally, he promotes free digital copies of all his books on major platforms, invites listeners to download them, and encourages sharing the material with family, especially adolescents, to foster a mindset of abundance.

Coming live. Hey, we're gonna have a little watch party. So James is going to take a second and, um, he just liked me, so I got him as a friend. I'm keeping him too. I'm gonna click that little box on Facebook where you don't let someone leave you, and that's what I'm gonna do, and then he'll never leave me and he'll be stuck with me. And last night I followed him, and Alan and I watched the YouTube videos, and my husband was kind of sleeping, and then all of a sudden he goes, I'm really interested in this. And because my husband's my number one fan, tonight we'll watch the YouTube video and I get to be on the screen with James. So all right, you let me know when you're ready.
Okay, I'm gonna check my page, and, uh, there it is. The live is also on my Facebook now.
Awesome, beautiful. Hey, you know what I forgot to ask you? How do you pronounce your last name?
It's a goy, just like boy or toy, but with the hard G. Goy.
Oh, I'm Jewish, I'm just gonna say oh goy. Sorry, bad joke, bad joke. Okay, so, so tell us about— because with the videos I was watching last night, you, you were like, there was nothing, nothing going on. So what's— what is going on? I love it.
Clean shaven. Yeah. Well, I don't know how long it's been, maybe somewhere around 8 years, but I had done this earlier in life as well a couple of times. And the last time I did it was back around 2000. It was about like this, only it was all much darker at that time. But, you know, there's several reasons for it, but one is you just get tired of shaving and you're just ready for a change. I do have dreams where I had one recently where my life partner Kathy had— I had a dream that I woke up and she had shaved me and cut my hair off while I was sleeping. And but I have other dreams also that I'm all clean-shaven, and I feel great. And so one of those times I actually shaved and everything after the dreams. We'll just see what happens. But also, people, you know, if you notice a lot of the yogis and whatnot, they have the longer hair. And it's, it's because they have an understanding that the hair is actually an antenna. It's like an organ. It's not just there for no reason. So, and I read this story years ago about American Indians who were drafted into service. I don't know if it was the Civil War or whatever, but they were used as trackers. And of course, when they were inducted in, they cut their hair and all like everyone else, and they found when they cut their hair, they couldn't track nearly as well. Yeah, so, so it's multifaceted, but maybe the biggest reason is I'm just lazy. I don't like cutting myself, and, you know, and it just, yeah, it kind of— people say, wow, that's quite a beard and quite a hair. I say, well, I can't take all the credit, it just kind of grew on me.
That's a great joke. I had, I had my hair was horrible during quarantine, and then one day or one night in all honesty, I cut my bangs, left the scissors on the counter, walked away. The next morning I looked at myself in the mirror and I'm like, oh my God, what, what did I do? And then I left the bathroom, my husband calls out, who was using the dog scissors?
And I'm like, oh my God, yeah, I watched a little part of one of your videos this morning. You were talking about the dog scissors.
The worst, the worst. I never have good hair. All right, so, so James, this is really interesting to me because a couple things. I normally actually don't even watch videos before I speak to someone because I don't really want to be— I don't want to have anyone influencing me in my, in my head. But I want to tell you that lately, about 6 to 8 months ago, I started listening to tapes on abundance and, and the mind power. And when I was listening to your video about 10 years ago when you were talking about the doubt, I was like, oh my God, you really are talking to me. Because the idea of having money has always been something to me that if I feel like if I have it, I want to give it. Even when I have nothing, I'm still like donating, giving. And yesterday I actually had a nice conversation with a financial woman talking to her about like that, the problem I have with money. And I think that you're hitting the nail on the head. So can you talk about that? The, the— I love the belief, but the doubt that you have, and I'm not even sure if I got the right words, but will you take it away about that? Because I'm not sure, maybe I believe I deserve it, right?
Yeah, well, it's multifaceted. Uh, one, one, uh, way doubt comes in is doubt in our own ability. Um, that if we become aware of metaphysical techniques Yeah, so we can be, we can be doubtful that these techniques will work, but you also hit an important point. And I do have a chapter in the book on specifically on self-image, because we need to have the self-image of a person who not only is capable of attracting the kind of money we say we want to attract, but we also need to have the self-image of a person who is deserving of having that money. Now, the Mind Power techniques are so strong and powerful and workable that you can attract money even when you're lacking in your self-image, but you're going to have a very hard time holding on to it, being consistent, you know, increasing your net worth or your income. So it's definitely multifaceted. But, you know, doubt, when we think about the process we're having, you see, there's 4 basic elements of Mind Power to really simplify it. Thoughts, feelings, the images we hold in our mind, and, um, um, the words we speak, which are much more powerful than most people think. And so when we are— have doubt, we're actually holding images of things we don't want to create. The subconscious mind doesn't know that we don't want these things we're imagining. It thinks that these things are true and then sets out to make them true. So when we have doubt, we tend to think wrong. We— our emotions and feelings are wrong. The images are wrong. And the words that we will tend to speak will be wrong. And when I say wrong, I mean, in the overall spiritual sense, I don't see any right or wrong. But what I do see is desirable or undesirable. And if we're having thoughts, feelings, images, and speaking words that are counter to what we want, and we're thus attracting those things, then it's wrong for us because it's not what we want.
That is so interesting. I have to say, I personally have a really burning question that I really want to ask you. This— what generation really absorbs and understands the power that we have in manifestation? And then what generation blows it away? Like, like it does it, it's nothing?
That's a really good question.
And have you thought about that? I've never really— I don't know that I've thought about it.
Yeah, right, right. And I'm just a few years older than you, and, um, I, I find, I— now that I'm thinking about it, that people at every age are— can be open. I mean, you've got— I mean, I came into this information when I was in my very early 20s, started finding my first books on mind power, spirituality, law of attraction, manifesting, occult, you know, all kinds of different things such as that. I was very open to it. There was other people I knew at my age when I brought the subject up, they weren't open to it. And I've also really spoken to people at every age who, if they hadn't— they didn't know about it before, they were either open or not open. But I don't see where age makes a difference. It's really the openness of the person to this new kind of information. Now, it's basic human psychology that we will automatically resist anything that doesn't fit into our present worldview. But some people take it to the extreme where you can prove it to them all day long. You can cite hundreds and thousands of books and quotes and people that they already respect and didn't know, knew about this kind of thing. And they're just bound and determined not to be convinced. So you got the people that right away recognize it. Something resonates within them. Wow, this is what— yeah, I've never been able to articulate it, but this is kind of like what I've been looking for. Other people that say, no, there's no way, you're never going to convince me. And then people that are in the middle and they're like, well, boy, that's, that's pretty freaky. You use your mind and actually can make things happen out there, like other people and events, not just your own behavior. Wow. I don't know. Tell me more. I'm not sure if I believe this or not. And so you have the whole gamut, but I haven't really been able to identify that it is any certain age range or whatever. I mean, these books, uh, But one thing that really amazed me when I started getting into my studies is that, you know, I'm looking at these books like, you know, Think and Grow Rich published in the '30s, right? And you got books from the late 1800s, early 1900s. You got books and material way older than that. But what really fascinated me is that I grew up for 19 years and no one ever mentioned any of this. Like no one had ever heard of Think and Grow Rich or The Magic of Believing or any of these books. But so it was really fascinating to me was that the information was already around. And so, and every once in a while, if I happen to see a really old movie, like from the '30s or the '40s, you know, way back when, and I would think, oh yeah, that such-and-such book was written then. Like, this information was already there, but nobody know— everybody's living, acting, and and making movies as if the information does not exist because for them it doesn't exist. So that was quite interesting to me.
It's interesting because, okay, so I actually really never heard of it or thought of it until about 8, 9 months ago. Though when you think about it, isn't the saying misery loves company kind of like, you know, when you're miserable, you want everyone because that's what you're attracting. This is that kind of like the whole idea of the mindset that a saying like that, that's from like so many years ago, right?
Yeah, it— I think it's part of that. I mean, you know, if we're miserable and then there's other people around us that are miserable, then we don't feel quite as miserable. And if we complain about how terrible everything is, uh, then, and people agree with us, then we feel validated. And also when we're miserable, we get attention because people are like, oh, it'll be okay. You know, here, let's have a cup of coffee. So there's a lot of emotional payoffs to being miserable. But also it depends on the circles you move in because as human beings, you know, in the old days, I'll call them the old days, you had to be accepted by the tribe because if you were ostracized and sent out on your own, you probably would not survive. So therefore we have this really deep-seated emotional connection and reaction and need to be accepted. And so we will tend to go along with the prevailing mental climate and outlook that we find ourselves in. And that's why association is so important— who we associate with, who we spend our time with, what kind of media we watch, what kind of books we read, because all of this is going, is going in, and it's helping us to figure out who we are. And so we want the highest and most positive and most useful, productive, and powerful information and associations we can get, because that just helps us to move forward in life, to get more of what we want, less of what we don't want, and also to be a greater blessing to the world. Because the more we are, the more we become, the more we have, the more we can do and that we do do, um, the more the entire world will be blessed.
I love that. I really feel that, like, for myself, when I do get in that negative area, to push it out, because it really does affect you emotionally and, uh, and physically. But I also, growing up, I had a lot of— I've always had a lot of intuition, which really bugged my family, I think, a lot, because I kind of relied on it. But yeah, I always had this, like, feeling that I knew what was going to take place. But listening to you last night, I'm like, oh my gosh, it was in my head. Like, can you explain that? Even though what I said probably sounds like jambalaya to everyone else, right?
Well, I mean, addressing the, the, uh, subject of intuition in particular. I mean, that is, uh, a chapter in the book. It's an extremely important part of just human life and survival to begin with, just from an evolutionary standpoint. Um, the basic, um, definition of intuition is just, uh, direct knowing, right? Direct knowledge without any intermediate intermediary that something came to us. We don't know how we know something, we just know it. And everyone has probably had the experience of coming into contact with a certain person and it's just getting a very dark, foreboding kind of a feeling, like, oh, there's something wrong with this person. Or to go into an environment, a building that doesn't feel right. And but as it fits in with mind, so it's very good that you have that, like, a stroke, because I think we all have it coming in, but it's kind of beaten out of us because we're just, we're just jammed into the, this way of being and living where everything is conscious mind. You know, this is good, this is bad, and you have a to-do list and, and figure out the pros and cons. And, and where's the intuition in the, in the decision-making process in life in general? Who we, you know, where we work, what we do, and all of that. But speaking specifically to intuition as a part of Mind Power, see, Mind Power is a very active process in which we are actively showing and telling the universe and our subconscious minds what it is we want to create, whether it's financial or anything else in life. And so it's very active. But as you get along in the process and we start looking at the subject of intuition, We need to be able to switch to a different mode. The one is very active where we're programming in, we're consciously and methodically thinking and feeling and imaging and speaking in certain ways, very active. But then the passive part of it is now we've shown the universe in our subconscious minds what it is we want to create. Now we need to quiet down at certain times so that we can be guided to to what our part will be to help these things come to fruition so that we have fewer failures and fewer false starts, and that more of the things we do will, will tend to work out. And so that's, that's by following our intuitive guidance. And a surprising thing, though, when you really get into this process, years and decades, is that you find out that Your part is often surprisingly very, very tiny. Like, the main thing you have to do is the mind work, and then there will be other things you need to do as well. But you'll find over time that the part that you need to do is, is really minimal compared to all the of the other things that are going to take place. People's thoughts and feelings, emotions, actions events, circumstances, all of those things supposedly out there in the world will, will start to morph into what they need to bring your vision to fruition. It's a, it's an absolutely, um, fascinating, uh, process. Let me, um, I quote 160 other books in my book, How to Attract Money Using Mind Power, um, but yet it's very, um, you It's very concise. You can read it in a sitting or two. But I open it with— I open Chapter 2 with a quote on belief from Claude M. Bristol, The Magic of Believing, which was published in 1948. And he said, belief changes the tempo of the mind or thought frequency. Like a huge magnet, it draws the subconscious forces into play, changing your whole aura and affecting everything about you, including people and objects at great distances. That is the real power of mind power. I mean, it's very useful that it helps to, to guide us to affect what we notice as far as opportunities and dangers in our environment. And even our aptitudes can be improved and our habits and everything. But the fact that it actually goes out there into the world and makes all of these things happen to bring our vision into fruition, that is still after, you know, all of these years, to me, the most fascinating part of it, even though it's so-called old hat now to me. I mean, I absolutely, you know, recognize it, see it, I watch it unfold all the time. But for the average person, this is the big mental leap, not just that your own thoughts and, you know, your own programming, even from the outside, media, friends, family, is going to condition you to act and be certain ways. But that subconscious conditioning, whether it's self-imposed and planned or just haphazard and from the outside, or haphazard from your own self with your lazy thoughts of going along with the crowd or whatever, that's the part that makes you or breaks you. And but that's the part that's a little bit of a hump for people to get over who don't know about this because it seems unbelievable, right? That I can think something and all of a sudden, 1,000 miles away or halfway around the world, something else starts happening that a month from now I'll be able to look back and say, well, this had to happen for this to happen today. And that started happening right about the time I started doing my mind work. It's just a fascinating process. To observe?
Well, it's always— is it a coink-a-dink? Like, because in reality, I have always had that happen to me, and it's always been coink-a-dink, or— well, I never knew the word manifestation. Like, in all honesty, that I didn't know. But I knew that I had something going on, and I knew that maybe I should hone it, or maybe it was my guardian angel. I don't even know. But I would actually have, I really do have that. So I'm pretty grateful and blessed. But I wanna ask you, what would this look like? First of all, if we manifested kindness in everyone, like that would be amazing where just everyone just was so nice to each other. The second thing, and I think I'm gonna use my daughter, I have a 14-year-old cutie pie as an experiment for my guinea pig because I think in, in school, this would be a really great thing to teach because it would teach the kids to understand and to look at themselves, right? So you have to self-reflect to know who you are in order to even open up your mind to any kind of manifestation.
Right. Your voice was breaking up a little bit.
Or is it, um, are you thinking? Because I don't know.
I think— can you hear me? Your voice was breaking up and you're—
oh, sorry, this, this app. So I was asking— oh, sorry. Okay, how do I sound now?
I can, I can hear you good now.
Oh, okay, great. All right. So what I was saying is I have a 14-year-old, and I'm thinking that this would be an important thing to teach our children, because before you can open your mind to manifest anything, you have to really self-reflect on who you are as a person first, right?
Yeah.
Well, but I may be wrong about that.
Yeah.
Am I right or wrong?
Well, when it comes to young people, uh, and surprisingly some very young people, uh, learn about this information and they, and they take right to it. Uh, no one, no one is really young when it comes to their, their being, even if their body is young. So age doesn't have a lot to do with it. But one really great way that we can use mind power to help children, our children and whatever, is to help to condition them with information or proclamations that will tend to help them. One example where this is used in a negative way is, let's say a child is problematic and always getting in trouble. And he will say— he in this instance— is always hearing from one of his parents or someone else he trusts or whatever, you know, you're going to end up in jail by the time you're 18, or you're never going to make anything of your life, you're going to be, you know, whatever. Whatever that negative program is, if we put it in enough times, it's going to become part of the operating system of that individual. By the same token, we can condition children, young adults, teenagers with thoughts like, you know, you're a beautiful, capable, wonderful person, you can accomplish anything you want in life. And so, regardless of whether or not we teach them actual techniques, we can still help to shape their lives by giving them positive affirmations or affirmational information that will tend to help them to be much more empowered and powerful in life. But I would caution parents, in all fairness, that if you, uh, I'm not really concerned with what you want your child to be. I want your child to be what it wants to be. So I'd rather you be telling them that they can do anything they want, uh, than to tell them you're going to be a great, um, pop star or you're going to be a Hollywood movie actress when they're 3 years old. And, you know, like, you get this idea of what you want and then you start programming it in. Well, that might not be them at all. So, but to be more general and to help them by just affirming their, their worth and their value and their abilities and that they can do anything that they want to do, that is very powerful and really life-changing. I mean, it can completely make or break the decision-making process in the individual as they go through life. And because unless something else comes along to change us, they say as the tree is, as the twig is bent, so the tree grows, right? So unless something in life comes along, we're bending that twig early on. And so we can end up being responsible for what happens later in part, and either in a bad or good way. Then on top of that, I'll just say that a person that's 13, 14, 15, there's nothing saying that you can't hand them a book, one of these books on one of these subjects and say, "Here, take a look at this and see what you think." They might take right to it. But we have a lot of power as older people with more experience over what happens and transpires for younger people.
I'm going to do that because I think that's— I love that. I'm sorry about the connection here. I think it's very important, and I'm going to buy a book so that I can share it with my daughter. Can you still hear me?
I couldn't, but I can hear you again.
I want to ask you about music. So, you know, I'm not great with money. I'm generous to a fault. I get guilty feeling if I want it. I definitely need it. I don't know how much I need. I need enough to live comfortably. I don't need a lot of money because I don't live flourishly. I don't have fancy clothes. I wore the same shirt yesterday. Eh, I don't have designer bags. I don't have designer watches. I live a comfortable life because I want to always help other people. But when I was first looking at abundance and manifestation, I found myself listening to the music. So can you tell me the— what that— what is that about, the manifestation with the music that's available? On the web?
Well, you would have to enlighten me a little because I'm not really probably up on whatever it is that you're talking about. I'm a songwriter myself, an amateur songwriter. I have a couple of books. 2 of my 11 books are song lyrics I've written. And I know that there's music for certain— to set certain moods. I know that there's healing music. Some of these musicians have really studied the physiological effects of music on people. I mean, I know that there's science behind all of that. I myself have a few, now that I think about it, DVDs that I— Stephen Halpern comes to mind, but that I haven't listened to in ages. I even forgot I had. So there is definitely a connection between music and our physiological, mental, emotional, and those are all tied together, right, if you think about it, processes. So if music helps a person, a certain kind of music, then it's all for it. I personally shy away from things like tapes and things that have— and I'm not saying there's anything wrong with them. But like subliminal programming, for instance. For me, I'd rather be just fully in charge, and I'd rather be the only one inputting. And I'm sure the, the source of where that's coming from is, you know, credible and, and, uh, you know, fair and all of that. But who knows if you're opening yourself up to something that you don't really know what's in there. So it's— and I guess some music has subliminal messages in it, and Some people I know, if you listen to them, that's, you know, everywhere and everything. And so, you know, you have to be careful. So, but I tell people, whatever works for you, if you're finding benefit in it, then go ahead and do it. And then guess what? Down the road, you might find out, oh, I don't really like this. And here's why. But guess what? That is actually a learning experience as well. So if we just follow our our promptings and our interests. Because I've been through a lot of things in life that I would never do again or never want to do again, but I'm very glad I did them. And one, uh, what I was in a— I'll call it a school, uh, to be kind. I was in a spiritual school in my younger, uh, 20s for 2 and a half years and gave my whole life, soul, time, energy to this— we'll call it a school, you know, roommates with the, with the other students, we'll call them students, to be kind. And, but I came out of it so much more empowered that I would never again look to an outside source for my spiritual sustenance or as my spiritual master. So some people might look at this particular situation I was in and say, well, you wasted 2 and a half years of your life. And I said, no, that 2 and a half years saved me for the rest of my life. So anything that people are, are into— there's a lot of things that I don't I don't talk against, but that I don't actively— wouldn't subject myself to either. And I don't even like mentioning them because people think that then I am disparaging them or saying that they're not good. Everything is good in its own time, in its own place, uh, for the individual, if that's where their experience brings them. Whether or not we would later term it good or not good, we're going to learn from it. So everything's good. And I don't know, I probably didn't really answer what you were looking for with the music thing, but everything has its place. There is value in everything. There is science behind a lot of things, um, that, you know, show us that there are certain effects to doing this or to doing that, this technique, that technique. And I tell people that if you're pulled to it, then go ahead and do it. You're probably going to anyway. And if later you find out, oh, this was a scam, or this was this, you'll be the better for it, and you'll be more aware the next time. Not that any of the music is, is, but I'm just talking about, uh, other things. There's a lot of so-called healing modalities, there's a lot of so-called masters out there and all of this, and, uh, some are good, some are bad, some are harmless enough, but some, you know, you'll learn a real good lesson when you get on the other side of it, let's put it that way. Did I go too far off of the question? Because I tend to—
No, no, you didn't, because actually, no, you really didn't, because you did answer it. And then I love how you look at the world. I do too. We see the sun always on a cloudy day. This app is, uh, is giving us a little tweaking. Can I see a copy of your book? Do you have your book in front of you?
The physical book? Sure. How to Attract, uh, Mind Power.
Yeah. And, um, no, let me see it. Keep it. Okay. I love, I love the— I love how you just did the text in the front. And then, so when someone receives this book, can you tell everyone about the quotes? I think that's the coolest part.
The quotes, certainly. And by the way, I have the same— I have the same design. I love—
hey everyone, he, um, James is in California.
That's why. So when you, when you see one of my books, you know it's my book because they all have the JGJ, uh, logo, and it's basically the same design for all of them. I have 2 more books coming out very soon, and, uh, and then 2 more behind that. So, um, yeah, but you, you're asking about the quotes in How to Attract Money Using Mind Power, right? So while I was writing the book, which took me, took me about 9 years from when I first had the idea to when I completed, and now since I've written books in 6 days, 4 days. I wrote a book in 1 day, my book on Divine Order. Which will be coming out soon. All of my books are, are basically pretty short and concise, right? You can read these in a day or two, even, even my, my largest, uh, books, uh, that one and this one, you can still see they're not very, they're not very big. Um, but I did, while I was writing How to Attract Money Using Mind Power, I read hundreds of books and I collected up hundreds of quotes having to do with the 20 chapters, the 20 subject matter subjects for the chapters. And I whittled that down to 160 quotes that I use in the book. So if I can show you, I open each chapter with a quote, and then I end each chapter Well, I called the page "What Others Have Written," and then there's 8 more quotes. And so 8 times 20, 160. I think when I first wrote it, I recognized that a lot of people would be— when I was working on the book, that a lot of people were going to just say, "Oh man, this is a stretch," because I knew that this book would be— I felt then that this book would be the first book that a lot of people read on any metaphysical subject. And the reason I believe that is because I intuitively felt that people would be giving this book as a gift. And I've since had so many reports. I gave it to my grandson who just, you know, graduated from high school or college. I gave it to my grandmother. She's 92 years old. She loves it. She's never heard of anything like this. But so part of my thinking with the quotes was that The, the information is so, um, just mind-boggling to the average person. I wanted people to know that I did not make this stuff up. This is not theory or conjecture. It's not something that I, like, came up with, right? This stuff has been— I mean, I definitely can't— I coined certain phrases, um, you You know, speak as if is one, think and feel as if. But the information itself, that's the core of the book. Even though I've tailored it specifically for attracting money in modern times, the information itself has been around for hundreds and indeed thousands of years. And that's why I put so many quotes in the book, 8 within each chapter, because I want people to read what I write to understand the concept and then how to apply it, because every, every, uh, every chapter also has a page of simple steps, uh, 6 simple things that you can do to help apply what you learned in that chapter. But I wanted people to be empowered at the end of each chapter. Well, primed in the beginning by reading the one quote and then empowered after the chapter by 7 more from all time periods and all kinds of people. Um, a lot of people they've heard of, some that haven't. I wanted them to be empowered that, wow, there is something behind this, you know. Look at these books, they've been around these, you know, and look at what these people are saying. It's kind of like what he said. So I, I just really was, was, uh, not wanting people to think to discount it, like this is too good to be true. I wanted to know this is true. I'm not the only one that's saying it. I'm just a person who has taken it for modern times and specifically tailored the information for attracting money using mind power. But the basic foundational science underneath of it is, is age-old. It's been around forever.
I love it. Could you, uh, before you go— I maybe I won't let you go, I'll just keep you in here— but could you share your, um, your story of the pennies? Because my mom used to say pennies from heaven and pick it up and don't worry about what side it is because you just need to pick it up. Can you share that with everyone, please?
And can you say what that was again? Because there was a little falter in the system there.
I know, this app is, um, the pennies from heaven, the pennies, the penny story that you're sharing about me finding money. Yeah, and how you find pennies, you pick them up, right?
Well, that's one thing I want people to know. That I absolutely never pass a penny on the street without picking it up. Some people can't be bothered, but what I like to tell people is there is absolutely no difference between a penny and a million dollars in kind. It's the same exact thing. The only difference is in degree. A million dollars is a higher degree of what a penny is. So if you're using mind power to try to attract money and you are having money laid at your feet, right, that's free money laying on the ground, and you can't be bothered to pick it up because it's only a penny, well, you've weakened your attractive ability in that moment. The universe put that penny there and put you there to be able to find it. So that would be— I recommend in the book, if One of my bits of advice is always pick up money that you find on the street, even if it's only a penny. But when I used to walk, I have a more private area that I'm walking in presently. When I used to walk out in public in town, and I'd go for walks every morning, and I'd go for about an hour, and there would be these stretches of times where I just really focused my mind and zeroed in on finding money. And I would find frequent amounts of money. Now, if anyone goes for a walk in any decent-sized town or city, uh, for an hour, it's not unreasonable. It's, it's not going to be common. You're not going to find it every day, but it's not unreasonable. You'd run across a penny or something on the ground. But I, I would tune my mind so much that I I would start finding, and I was just talking about this on an interview yesterday, the day before. And so, these couple of examples are fresh in my mind. But I would find piles of change. I would find bills. I found a couple $5 bills rolled up together, but how I would find them. So, one time I'm thinking of, I'm walking down the street and I see coming from the other direction, a man with a dog. A medium-sized dog that looked like it could be potentially trouble. I don't know the dog. And so at this particular time, I went around a car so that I didn't have to pass the dog on the sidewalk, the man and the dog. And on the other side of the car, right outside the driver's, uh, side door, was a pile of change. Like maybe somebody came home the night before, got out, they were trying to mess with their keys, who knows, dropped some change, couldn't be bothered picking it up. So not only was I in the right place at the right time, and I was doing my part, and I had the right mindset to find money on my walk, but the universe, uh, or whatever you want to call it, had to make conditions so that I'd go around, because I never would have seen it there if the dog wasn't coming. Another time, I was, uh, there was one busy street that I would routinely cross once or twice, once going out for my walk, once coming back. There's a major street I'd have to cross. I wouldn't cross at the lights, they were very far apart, but I would wait for a break in the traffic because there usually was traffic because it's in the morning and people are going to work. And so I wait for the traffic and then I just make a beeline straight across the street with a fast walk in a straight line, not a run. If I have to run, then I'm not going to do it because then it's too close. So I wait until it opens up enough where I can make a straight beeline. So one day, I'm watching, I'm walking, and I'm watching, and then I'm walking, and then boom, I see, okay, there's my chance. I make a beeline straight across, and there was like a nickel or a quarter right there where I was about to step up on the curb. So again, I primed my mind, the money was already there. And I knew that I could find, you know, money. But the traffic had to open up at the exact point to make that happen. And look at, you know, you got maybe 20 cars or hundreds of cars that, you know, over just a 10-minute period that had to catch lights and be all to make this perfect spot happen where that thing was. And then I would find money multiple times in one day. It's just really freakish. So, and people say, well, that's, you know, a couple— I have, I have a, um, the box that is like padded and tufted, and it's got— it's bejeweled, and it's all the money. Now, over the years, I've had to, you know, make— like, cash it out, like take 20 ones and make it a 20, you know, and whatever. But I've got this box where everything goes in there. Everything that I have found on the street goes into this box. I have an envelope where every time I win money in the lottery, it's— it all goes into a particular envelope. And so I do things like this that help me to keep my consciousness up. You know how when you have— when you get lottery tickets, and then if you want, you can go back to the 7-Eleven or whatever, and you can get the winning numbers on paper. It looks like the ticket but only it's the winning numbers. Well, I always get those, and I have a large stack of, um, winning lot, you know, the, the numbers where they're showing who won and how much. So from $50,000 up, and so there's, you know, uh, $5 million, $8 million, dozens of millions, up to hundreds of millions of dollars. And I have these big stack of these, and every once in a while I look through them to to remind myself, all these people won. This is just— it happens all the time. And not only are my chances as good as theirs, my chances are better than theirs because I'm creating the mindset in which this would happen. And so it's just little things like that. But with the going back to the finding the money, um, again, always pick up that penny or whatever it is, number one. Number two, if you want to have a little hobby and get really freakish about it like I did for quite a while, Really, really program that in and then go out and you'll, you'll surprise yourself with how much money is laying around, first of all, but that you can go out and find 1 or 2 or 3 of these things within an hour. You know, it's, it's freakish, but then when you look at what's going on behind it to make it happen, it's, it's, it's in perfect order with how mind and universe works.
So who do you thank? Like, I thank— I don't know who to thank. I thank my guardian angels. I thank the universe, my mom, my dad now that they passed. Like, I feel like I have to thank someone every time I— every time everything that happens for me in the world, I want to thank the universe and God and everything, right?
Um, well, it's funny you mentioned God. I have a book, uh, that's called The God Function.
What do you think?
And I think that people should thank whoever they— I think people should thank whoever they feel inclined to thank. Uh, for me, it's, uh, universe/God, but my understanding of God is not traditional, you know, religious depiction of that. But just the act of gratitude and thankfulness in and of itself is a very powerful drawing mechanism. It really— we just absolutely will tend to attract more of that which we're grateful for. Some people do have, you know, the guardian— they're aware of their guardian angels or or family members who are deceased, helping them, the universe at large, God. So even more important than who you thank is that you thank, and that you do it often, and that you're, you're very grateful and appreciative for, um, everything that you receive, everything you've received in the past, and everything that you are absolutely knowing and assuming you're going to continue to receive. Gratitude and appreciation are very powerful metaphysical mind power techniques is really what they are.
I have a question, one more question before I let you go. Karma. What book, what book has karma in it? Or are you going to write a book about karma?
Well, let me think about my books here. Aware Power Functioning, Advanced Manifesting Made Easy, and maybe Aware Power Functioning must be around here somewhere. Um, although I don't use the word specifically, I'm not big on the word, although I could probably write a book to address it for people that are looking for information on that word. But the universe works in a certain way. And what, what we put out is what we get. Now, some people say, well, you have karma from a past life. Well, that's a whole other discussion because I don't believe in the concept of time. And so, and the school I was in when I was much younger was all about past lives and karma. And, and I actually developed myself to where I was seeing all of these past lives. And then I spent a few years giving past life readings to other people and all of this. And people say, oh, so you do believe in reincarnation. And past lives. And I'm like, well, yes and no. Everything has its, has its time and place and, and point of reference. But if you look deeper and pan further out, and if you come to question the app, the actual validity of the concept of time itself, which is questioned even by, by modern science, then, um, the whole concept of the past is almost a moot point. But certainly what we radiate is what we will tend to attract back. Our heart, our feelings, our intentions, and our actions are going to go out and have an effect. And everything in life is basically a boomerang, and it wraps right around and comes back around. And that is probably the definition of karma. Whether we want to talk about for past lives or just present situations. So I absolutely believe that everything we do, we do either to or for ourselves, and it comes back around with the same energy, the same intention, in one way or another, at one time or another. But it— there's, uh, in the universe, there is this little thing that is known as cause and effect. Every cause has an effect, and that should be a, a very comforting feeling to good people, and it should really be a warning to bad people, because it all comes back.
Sorry to be clappy, but I think that's great. I'm glad I'm one of the good people Phew, but I love that. I, I really enjoyed our conversation.
Thank you, I did too.
Yeah, I apologize for the glitch. So I see that you have— you are, you are really up on your social media. It's lovely. So I see you have two Facebook, uh, pages, so I, I promoted those the other day, but I'll redo that again. You have a Twitter, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Pinterest, Google. I was like, whoa, you go! Because I think it's so important for you to spread your message, right? And I'm going to help spread it too as I start to learn my own process of getting out of my doubt and fear, right? Fears. Yeah. Yes, I shouldn't be fearful of money, but yet I fear money. That's another thing I could talk for hours. I'm gonna let you go. Fear, the way you address everything. I'm gonna get the book and I look forward to reading it and I'll share it too. And oh, and is that okay? Because when you— if you go to Mr. Goy's website that is actually down right there. You'll actually see that too. Your website's chock full of information too. Wow.
Right. And let me—
I'm sorry about the, uh, the app again, and I look forward to it.
Okay, let me mention, when people go to my website jamesgoijr.com, they can download a free PDF copy of, uh, Attract Money Forever when they subscribe to my free monthly Mind Power and Money EZ. Um, Now, all of my other books, every single other book I've written, if you go to Amazon for Kindle, if you go to Barnes Noble, if you go to Kobo, every— at this time and until further notice, every single book I've written is free in ebook format on Amazon, on Barnes Noble, at Kobo, and several others. So I encourage people, I'm guided to do this at this time. If that changes, then I will change my actions. But right now you can actually go out and get every single book that I have written for free right now today. And then, and most of them, all of them you can read in a day or two, most of them a day. They're short. And so I encourage people to take advantage of this, to go out and to scoop up all of my books for free. Each one is literally just, is it like pushing one button for each one? Go to the page, push a button, you can download them all in just a minute or two. And I encourage people to do that.
You know, share this with your family. I'm talking to my, my friends right now because I would never have thought that Alan— if you know my husband Alan— that he would have said to me, I'm very interested in this, Adrienne, and I want to know more, so get more information. Because you just don't know. So I mean, I've lived with my husband and I've been married for, oh, about 24 25 years. I don't remember, but we've been married for so long. I never ever— it was the first time that he ever expressed an interest in learning more about this. So I really think that that's great. So it really could be something for me now. It's something exciting that we could read a little bit together and go on this path together, which I would never have expected. So make sure you talk to your family And oh, and I'm sharing this with my daughter Alana because I think it will help her at 14 in high school, uh, and open her eyes to dealing with, first of all, everything. But also, we talked about being positive all day, and we did the other day to school, we actually did a lot of positive affirmations. And about halfway through school, she emailed me and she said, Mom, I don't know what's going on, but everything around me is behind you. And it was everything I expected and more. So thank you.
Wow. That's, and that's a great point. You never know who's going to be receptive. You never know. So give everybody a chance and then let it lay wherever it lays, but at least give them a chance.
I love that. I think this is great. I'm so excited. Okay. We're going to go off. Thank you for more time than you expected. I really appreciate it. Thank you everyone for watching. Have a great rest of your Tuesday and the week. And let's all, let's all just, just go on and get the books. It's going to take a little time because you got to download each one. Well worth it while Mr. Goy is being so generous to all of us. So you know what I'm doing after this. All right. So thank you so much. And I would be remiss if I didn't say you're very handsome with and without the hair. Just have to say that.
Yeah, well, thank you, thank you.
I appreciate that. Thank you.
That's the first time I heard that one. I've done 319 interviews and no one ever said something like that. All right, thank you.
Stop the streaming now.
And that was really No, I'm not hearing you again.
Really? I'll see it, but everyone says we're not stopping streaming. Everyone says that I am, um, I, I, you know what, I see the beauty in people and I love that.
