1.3 Data Types in Python | Python Full course 2024 #learnpythonin2024 #mlwithakansha

Akansha Yadav covers Python's core data types: integers and floats for numbers, strings for text using single or double quotes. She shows variable assignment like myinteger = 15 and myfloat = 15.1, and demonstrates Python working as a calculator for arithmetic operations.

Ladies and gentlemen, there are certain data types in Python which you can use, and how to use it also is being defined in the Python language. In this video, we will be covering few data types. First data type is the numeric data type, which is 50, is a numeric data type. There can be two values in the numeric data type. One is going to be the integer, another is going to be the float. Integers are those value which is the directly like a whole number, and float are those values which are decimal numbers. Integers are whole numbers, floats are decimal numbers. So let me show you an example. The same, let me convert it to Markdown. Oh, this one should be Markdown. And this one should be the code cell. So the example says, let's suppose I'm writing my_intention is equal to 15, and then I'm writing my_float is equal to 15.1. So my_integer and my_float both are the numeric data type. There is another data type in Python which is a string. It means all these values which I have assigned above are known as strings in Python. This Python programming course for beginners, mine, run— all these are strings. Strings are the sequence of a character. It can be a word or it can be a sentence. In short, a sequence of characters. So there are two things that you can use to, like, assign it. Let's suppose I'm saying message is equal to— I'm using double quotes. So double quotes are also— suppose I'm saying, hello learners. So this is a message, and I'm using double quotes to write it. Suppose I'm writing another variable which is greeting. Now I'm not going to use double quotes, I'm using single quotes. So this is also valid. Both are going to be considered as Python is fun, let's suppose. So both are strings data type, both are string data type. And this one This is numeric data type. So these two data types are the primary data type. Why we are learning this in this video is because Python can act as a normal calculator as well. So you can explore Python by writing 5 6, 10 999. So it can work for you as a normal calculator as well. You can just use the basic operators and write down the values. It can be a numeric value or it can be a float value. So before watching the next video, I want you to complete this video along with the lab.
