Ladies and gentlemen, hello everyone, welcome back to my YouTube channel. In today's video, we are going to see how we can upload any Excel file or any spreadsheet on Tableau and the steps that you have to follow. So what you have to do is you have to open your Tableau using the search button, go and search for it, and then once you are on this page, you have to tap onto the Microsoft Excel button. And once you will on this page, you have to search for the file that you wanted to upload. So there is one sample superstore database that you can upload and test how to upload it. So if you have uploaded, this is how your connection will look like. Once you have uploaded, you will have all the tables on the data source page, and you have another page called Sheet 1. So whichever tables you have, just like in my case I have Orders, People, and Returns. So this is how it will show you. You can edit the connection as well. If you wanted to modify anything, you can do that, or else you can remove your data that you have uploaded. So you can rename the database. When you are clicking on the Rename button, you can rename it just like from Sample Superstar— uh, Superstore, I'm making it only Superstore. So you can just rename it like this, and this is the interface that will open for you once you have uploaded it. So what you have to do is you have to go to the new data source, then select MySQL from that. Then you have to enter the basic details, which database, username, and the password. Once you will enter the password and you will tap on the sign in button, you will be on your database server. So you can see this is my database. You can also check the databases from this just by writing the SHOW DATABASES command, and we will run it. You will get the database names as well. So if you wanted to make any changes in the database name, you can do that too. Just like in the— my case, I have multiple database. If you wanted to use any specific, you will mention it over here. Just like in this case, I'm using Irfan1. Then I'm going to sign in, and you can see all the databases from here as well. So if you have not selected the right one, you can select from here as well. All the tables which are available on your database will be integrated in this. So if you like this video, don't forget to hit the like button and subscribe to my channel for more.
