The video "Season of Hope" is a compilation of testimonials from six students of One on One Financial/101 Financial, recorded during the COVID‑19 pandemic. Each speaker shares personal financial breakthroughs attributed to the program: paying off a mortgage after only three years of ownership, saving over $100,000 in interest, doubling income and generating passive income, systematically eliminating credit‑card and car‑loan debt, and moving into real‑estate investing with rentals and house flips. The speakers emphasize the shift from a survival mindset to a hopeful, proactive approach, crediting the financial education and strategies provided by 101 Financial for enabling debt freedom, wealth building, and confidence to pursue larger investments despite the challenging economic climate.

As you all know, 2020 has been a rough year. Just have so much negative in our life. We wanted to change that around at One on One Financial. We wanted to put out positive vibes and, and great energy. Why? Because We deserve it. You deserve it. You deserve to have hope in your life. We picked a handful of our students that have achieved some level of success during this COVID period and in their, in their financial life. And so we wanted to hear from them. What are they doing? How did they do it?
If you've ever been in that place where You know, you can't make it.
That was, that was me. That was how I was banking. I'm like, as long as I can make it, I'll be okay. If I got a couple of dollars till my last, my next paycheck, I'm solid. If you've ever lived that way, and I don't mean to get emotional, but it's, it's the worst. And if I didn't have One-on-One, I would have never survived. We just paid off our mortgage this month, maybe about 2 weeks ago. We've owned our house for 3 years. I can't believe I have this much money in my checking account and I got paid last week. I can't believe I paid this off. You know, all those little things. It's huge.
The life that I knew I wanted to live, but I just had to get out of my own mind. I just had to get over myself and make it happen. Put in the work to make it happen. And through this pandemic, a lot of people look bad or look at 2020 as a hard year. It's been a hard year, but I'm So grateful that 101 turned this year into a positive year for me.
Not only am I saving what's going to be hundreds of thousands of dollars, I've already over— I've already saved over $100,000 in interest on my primary residence. I've also been able to double my income because of 101 Financial. And it's passive income, which means I sit down and I make money. Passive income is the most beautiful thing that One on One Financial has taught me.
As soon as we started, it, it started small with paying off a credit card, and then it moved to paying off a car loan, and then it moved to saving for our down payment on our first home. And then to today, where we are looking to invest during this pandemic. So that is what I'm really excited about. 101 has brought so much financial education to myself that I was never taught growing up in high school and in college.
It's inevitable when you become a 101 student, you're going to pay off debt. That's just a given. But what are you going to do after that? Or even during that? It doesn't mean you have to be debt-free to go do something new. In, in November, we closed on 2 single-family rentals. We signed for one of our rentals yesterday, and we're buying a new build in Florida that we're signing possibly in a week and a half or so. And we sold one of our flips yesterday too. That was a great one, and I'm buying one right now too. So we're just trying to stay consistent with the real estate stuff, but It's not easy. It's hard, but 101 has taught us that you can do anything.
