Well, it's not easy to think about, but it is necessary if you want to take care of your loved ones.

Good morning, everyone. Suppose something tragic happened to you and you died. I know that's not the kind of news you want to wake up to in the morning, but it's a serious question to ask ourselves. What would happen to all of your assets? Who would get your home, your savings, and retirement money you worked so hard for? What about all of the family jewels and household valuables? Most important, who do you want to take care of your children and how would you want them to be cared for? You need to write down what you want to happen or someone else will decide for you. Having a will, sometimes known as a last will and testament, can solve this. A will is a legal declaration that allows you to decide who can manage your estate and who to transfer your assets to at your death, as well as how and when that will happen. Everyone needs a will, and it's not hard to do. A legal will cuts down on court costs and saves taxes too. I suggest you either contact a few lawyers and/or use some of the online resources available to you. Remember that this is a very simple process, but very important to keep you financially fit. All the financial fitness tips are on the KHON2.com website. For Wake Up Today, I'm Alan Akina. See you on Thursday.
