It is time for Financial Fitness.
This week, Alan Akina tells us about insuring your loved ones in case you can't.
Good morning, everyone. One of the best things that you can do to protect your family and give you some peace of mind is to get life insurance. To put it simply, life insurance will help to take care of those who depend on your income. Think about this. How would you pay for your mortgage, living expenses, kids' tuition, and other bills if you were to suddenly pass away? There are also unexpected costs like medical and funeral tabs to consider. Life insurance can help ease some of the burden during this very stressful time and keep your family whole. The last thing you want your spouse to worry about is having to go to work soon after a death in the family. Now, in general, there are 3 types of life insurance: term, whole life, and universal. We'll explain each of them and how they are different from each other in our next few financial fitness segments. To get started though, I suggest you contact at least 3 different licensed insurance agents or agencies. If they're good, they'll provide you with a plan that is specific to your needs, multiple options, and quotes from several providers. The main thing, folks, is to not wait and get started now. We never know when our time will be up. For Wake Up Today, I'm Alan Akina. I'll see you on Thursday.
