It's a short Wake Up Today / Thrifty Thursday audio segment featuring multiple speakers; Alan Akina is the presenter and provides a quick tip about public library services in Hawaii (free ebook downloads, interlibrary loan requests, DVD rentals for $1/week, late fees) and directs listeners to librarieshawaii.org.

Well, if searching through the library for a book to borrow isn't your style, maybe you can get one sent to you.
Alan Akina has more in this morning's Thrifty Thursday tip.
Good morning, everyone. Today's Thrifty Thursday quick tip is a continuation from last week's free stuff at the public libraries. Now, one of the cool new services the library offers is free ebook downloads. That's right, from your home computer, you can download an ebook by logging on to the library's website. Also, if your local library is out of a particular book, movie, or music CD, you can request one to be sent from any other library in the state free of charge. You can also rent DVDs or videotapes, movies from the library. Now this will cost you a whopping $1, but you can keep it for a week. Now beware, there are some late fees if you don't return stuff on time. For more information, go to librarieshawaii.org. For Wake Up Today, I'm Alan Akina. I'll see you on Monday.
Thank you very much, Alan.
