The holiday season is fast approaching, and with it comes holiday expenses.
Alan Akina gets in the spirit for this morning's Thrifty Thursday report.
Good morning, gang. Can you believe that Christmas is right around the corner? Let's take some advice from Santa and make a list and check it twice. Now is the time to start planning your gift giving. Taking the time to plan now will help you to save money and time, as well as stress later in the shopping season. Now, here's 5 tips to help you. Number 1, set your shopping budget and stick to it. Number 2, write down your list of people that you're getting gifts for. Number 3, price items and comparison shop. Searching online and calling stores will save you a ton of time and gas. 4, shop early to avoid the large crowds. And finally, number 5, consider giving homemade gifts. Those are some of the most memorable and easier on our wallets. For Wake Up Today, I'm Alan Akina. See you on Monday.
I think Alan looks great with a Santa hat.
Isn't that cute? Yeah, he's in the spirit already, and it's what, September?
It is September, but a lot of places— I went to Macy's the other day at Kahala Mall, and they already have their Christmas trees up.
Yeah, you know me, December 24th, that's when I do my shopping.
Except for your wife's gift, I'm sure.
Yeah, no, I plan that way ahead. Thank you very much, Alan, for that report.
