A coach's own alignment and consistency directly shape whether clients feel safe being vulnerable. If you're inconsistent in your life, that insecurity shows and undermines trust. Own your alignment as radical responsibility, using your experiences as feedback to create safety for others.
particularly when you are coaching them, you want them to open up and you want them to trust you and you want them to be able to be vulnerable to expose who they really are. And I think the point that you are making is that your personality is actually engineered for that, ideal for that, but actually people find that quite difficult to do.
Right. The extent at which people are willing to be vulnerable with me is the same. It meets me at the same level that I'm willing to be vulnerable with myself and with them. Right. So if I'm incongruent in my own personal life, professional life, that's going to show up in how people feel towards me when they're in conversation with me. So it's obviously radical responsibility, accountability, using life as a mirror and not as like excuse or being a victim. It's just using it as feedback of where I can help people to feel safe around me.
