Please stop trying so hard during your first week or two in a new job, your only job is to observe the culture, survey the landscape of your new environment, and absorb information. Unless you are very high up in your career, you probably won't be able to make an impact until you really understand what the heck's going on at your new job. So just keep your ears open and your eyes open and relax. And also, congratulations on your new role.
