Do not let your manager walk all over you. Here are three examples of boundaries you can set at work when you take time off. Do not answer emails, not even for an emergency. If they really can't function for five days without you, maybe they should be paying you more. You also don't need to be answering emails and slack messages after 5pm or whatever your work hours are. You can tell them, hey, I saw your email and I wanted to let you know that I respond to emails between 9 and 5. And lastly, be being overworked. You deserve to not feel stress about your job. If your manager keeps piling on work and piling on work to your already full plate, you can say, hey, before I work on this, is there anything you can deprioritize or take off of my plate? Let me know if you've tried any of these or if you probably should.
