Alli Peck explains why job seekers should create a project portfolio. She describes her own six-page portfolio, emphasizes the importance of the contents page (page two) for signaling organization and planning to hiring managers, and offers help to viewers who want to make one.
I know why. Not everybody makes a project portfolio when they're job searching. They look super intimidating. They're gorgeous. Take a look at mine that I was using when I was job searching. It's six pages. I would argue that the most important page is the second one, the contents page that shows any hiring manager or recruiter you are well thought out. You plan ahead. You're organized, you're detail oriented. You're thinking ahead. Meaning, like, here are the contents of this thing. I'm going to tell you what's inside of it. Let me know if you guys have a project portfolio or if you don't and you would like help making one.
