Short YouTube advice from Alli Peck about maintaining emotional balance in sales. The speaker urges salespeople to avoid getting swept into extremes after a win or a loss, not to take rejections personally (likening it to being ghosted in dating), to review one’s calls for improvement, and to quickly move on from lost opportunities. The clip emphasizes finding a steady, resilient "homeostasis" mindset rather than living in highs and lows.

For sales in general, you kind of have to find, like, a homeostasis. Like, you can't live in the highest of highs and the lowest of lows because you will get whiplash. Like, one day you've closed a deal. This is amazing. The next day, you've lost five opportunities. You have no pipeline. You have to start from scratch. Okay, so if you find yourself, like, celebrating the high winds and then getting really low on the days where it sucks, it's going to be really hard. So you kind of just have to be like, it's kind of like in dating, if you get ghosted, like, it's not my problem. It's that person's problem. And just kind of be like, okay, well, that person said no. Click, move on to the next. Okay. Like, you really can't take it personally. You're selling a product, you're selling goods. All you can do is kind of like, was it my pitch? Did I talk too much? Did I not ask enough questions? And kind of review your own call, but at the end of the day, there's going to be people who are never going to say yes. And so you can't get attached to the people that say no. And. And try not to get overly excited or overly depressed when things go great or bad.
