Alli Peck responds to a TikTok clip where an older woman complains younger generations don't know how to write checks or address envelopes. Peck argues generational differences reflect changing technology and communication norms: Millennials and Gen Z prefer digital payment/services (Venmo, PayPal, Zelle) and messages (email, voice notes). Her message: adapt to technological change rather than judging newer methods.

Video circulating TikTok where an older woman is saying she can't believe how the younger generations don't know how to address an envelope or write a check. I want to bring awareness to the fact that different generations do things in different ways, and it's really important that we adapt to a technologically ever changing world. So a Millennial or Gen Z wouldn't write a check. They would use Venmo, PayPal or Zelle. A Millennial or Gen Z would not address an envelope because they could just write an email or send a voice note. So I think that it's sort of like adapt or die. Or I've heard somebody say if you're not green and growing, you're ripe and rotting. I love that one too. It's important that we recognize that technology is changing. And just because one generation doesn't know how to do something the previous generation did, or maybe they don't choose to do something the previous generation did, doesn't mean we're still not doing the act, paying our bills, communicating with people. We're just doing it using technology that's different than your generation.
