Sometimes if you give notice at a company, say you give two weeks, they don't need you to stay a full two weeks, or they don't want you to stay a full two weeks. Some companies will ask you to leave the premises right after you give two weeks notice. They can do this for a number of reasons. One, if you're a conflict, or two, if you have really sensitive information, or three, if they think that you are leaving angry. If you're going to quit soon, just be prepared for that.
