You want to know what to say in your exit interview when people ask you why you're leaving your job when the truth is you're leaving a bad manager. In my experience, difficult conversations are made a little bit easier when you use I statements instead of you statements. An example of a you statement, which we don't want to use, is you run a company that has bad managers. If you flip that around and turn that into an I statement, it would sound something like I want to work for a manager who is empathetic and a good communicator. And I didn't find that here. And as always with my career advice that I give all you guys, this translates to relationship advice as well.
