In this vlog‑style monologue, the speaker—a first‑generation immigrant from the Philippines who now works as a bartender—reflects on his day‑to‑day life, career path (Starbucks, restaurant work, bartending since age 21), and recent foray into boxing. He frames work as a means to pay the bills rather than a path to fulfillment, and uses boxing as a metaphor for learning to take hits and keep moving forward. Throughout, he emphasizes that loss and failure are essential for growth, that striving for greatness is inherently scary, and that life is too short not to pursue one’s passions. The video’s purpose is to document his personal journey, offer encouragement to other first‑generation viewers, and convey a message that purpose lies in sharing struggles so others can learn, level up, and chase their own greatness.

I guess what you could say is I'm making this video to kind of vlog my experience of, you feel me, just day-to-day life. And right now I work a bartending job. And to be honest, I've been in a bartending gig ever since I was 21. And before that, I was working in restaurants. And before that, I was working at Starbucks. And to me, jobs is just something to, you feel me, like pay the bills. And save up money, but it's not something that can really supplement your life, like the life that you want to live at least. I feel like I'm trying to explain this to myself as well. Like just vlogging these experiences, I could always look back on them and learn from them. Do what you want to do in life, no matter what people may think, because at the end of it all, we're all going to die. You know what I mean? Like we're going to die someday. It's inevitable. I feel like I've had a lot of challenges in my life, no cap. You can't have success if you haven't learned how to lose, you know what I mean? Like, if anything, wins don't really affect a person that much. It's the losses that do. I, you feel me, I speak on this from personal experience. When I used to play basketball, I used to just, you know, hoop a lot with my friends, and for some reason I always like It was never the wins that stuck to me, it was more so the losses. And it's the same for challenges. Like, you just— sometimes in life you just gotta go through shit and whatever happens, happens. I just got into boxing recently and one of the things that I wanna learn from boxing is how to take a hit, you feel me? Like, as soon as you get hit in the face, you're like, oh shit, this shit different. Or like you get hit in your stomach, your chest, whatever, and you just— Damn, like, that shit hurt. What you finna do? Life, I was telling, you feel me, my friends, is life doesn't get any easier the older you get. If anything, it gets harder. Creating this channel had to do with making an impact on the lives of other people. And especially if you're a first-generation person like me, you know what I'm saying? Like, I wasn't born here. I was born in the Philippines. I came here when I was like 6 years old and I I feel like there aren't a lot of people speaking on those experiences. And I just know there's somebody out there that can relate to this, you know what I mean? Especially if you're trying to go for something, if you have a passion, whatever. The things in this life, like especially the things that you want in this life, they don't come easily. Especially if you're striving for something that's higher than what most people go for, like something that's great, greatness. If you're striving for greatness, That shit is scary. It's pretty fucking scary. Like, let me ask y'all, let me, let me just tell y'all something real quick. Success comes with its own set of challenges and, and different things that you have to— different hurdles that you got to jump through in order to, to achieve that. And that's scary. That thought alone is scary. So if what you want in this life doesn't scare you, then why do you want it? The shit that I want in this life scares me. The thought alone of like the shit that I gotta do and just even obtaining that goal is scary. It's fucking— it's frightening. But I'm willing to go through the challenges. I'm willing to struggle. I'm willing to fight, to crawl, to do whatever I have to do to get there. And unfortunately, that means I have to go through challenges. Unfortunately, that means I have to go through hurdles. Unfortunately, that means I gotta get hit in the face a few times, a couple times, maybe even 100 times. But I don't give a fuck. I want it that bad. I want it, you feel me? Like, we only have one life. We're only given one life. Some people think they have a long life to live, and that's— I disagree. I feel like we have too short of a life to live, you know what I mean? I feel like our life is too short to not go for the things that we want in this life. I genuinely believe that. So this is me taking the first step the first steps to achieving the things that I want in this life. And I'm hoping that there are people that can watch this and maybe take something away from it. Granted, I know I'm not, you feel me, like speaking so like cohesively, but still, like, I'm speaking on personal experiences and experiences that I've been through. And if you can take something away from this, maybe you could relate to, you feel me, like the struggles that I'm speaking Everybody has a purpose in this life, and I feel like for me, my purpose is to relay a message so that people can relate to it, learn from it, and take something away from it and better themselves. Because that's how we— that really is how we get better in this life, how we, you feel me, how we level up is by making mistakes, is by taking steps and fucking up and You feel me? Looking at those fuck-ups and growing from it, getting better. Like, what am I gonna do this time to, you feel me, like, not fuck up? That's basically what life is about, and that's basically what is scary, you know what I'm saying? Like, some people are afraid to fail. Like, failure is necessary in order to achieve greatness and success. I'll speak on that, you feel me? And I'm just gonna end it right there. I don't really know what else to say other than, you feel me, that. But right now I'm going through my own set of challenges, my own set of hurdles, and all that other stuff. But I'm willing to go through that. I'm willing to go through all of that because I know on the other side of all these failures and challenges, there is greatness. And that's something worth struggling for, for me.
