In this YouTube short, Alpesh B Patel OBE delivers a concise investment framework centered on an investor’s risk capacity. He advises assuming future returns will be half of historical averages and drawdowns will be twice as severe, using this worst‑case lens to model portfolio growth (e.g., turning $250k into $2 million over 15 years). He links greed to panic, warning that over‑optimistic expectations can trigger emotional distress. He references a poll where 60 % of viewers expect the S&P 500 to rise in the next 12 months, and concludes by inviting questions via email and promoting a paid program with a webinar discount.

If there's anything I haven't answered, just email me. I think we've got quite a bit there. Remember, the past is not a guarantee of the future. We do not solicit you to buy individual stocks. What we're doing is giving you the education and the, well, data and education so that you've got knowledge to know, right, that is a portfolio which suits your risk capacity. The most important thing of all is risk capacity. It's that. Why? Because it's otherwise you get sleepless nights. Okay, it isn't that. And we always assume that will never repeat itself and you will get half of what something's done historically, and the drawdowns will be double what they've been historically. It's what I tell my clients, always assume the worst that something's done historically is going to be double as soon as you buy it, and returns will only be half of what you've done. And if that still doubles your money in 5 years, so quarter of a million becomes half a million in 5, becomes a million in 10, becomes 2 million in 15. So quarter of a million becomes 2 million in 15, half of what it's historically done, i.e., 15%, and that still matches the index. So you've just done as well as the index tracks. So really worst-case scenario, and can you live with that, then you're fine. If you're getting greedier than that, then expect that you'll be panicked because your psychology is such that you're greedy, so you're more likely to panic when you don't get what you want. Why? Because we know greedy people get panicked when they don't get what they want. Okay? That's how the world works. Okay? Ending the poll on S&P, 60% of you think it'll be higher in 12 months. Okay. Interesting that people think that. Any questions, just email me. If you want to join the program, with the discount, the webinar discount, please join.
