In this short monologue, Alpesh B. Patel (AlpeshBatel.com) answers audience questions while promoting his free‑resource platform (AlpeshBatel.com/Shares). He outlines a straightforward, Buffett‑inspired investment approach: keep cash equal to two years of living expenses, invest the remainder in equities, reinvest dividends, and rebalance once a year. He rejects complex trusts, using only a simple life‑insurance trust, and emphasizes paying all taxes in the UK despite operating an offshore hedge‑fund vehicle for tax‑efficient structuring. He also notes he does not use non‑dom status and does not provide regulated estate‑planning services. The overall tone is instructional and promotional, with a confident, pragmatic sentiment toward the simplicity of his strategy.

You want to be part of it. I'm going to answer questions now. Then that's where you go. AlpeshBatel.com/Shares. The other place you want to go for all my free resources, by the way, only 1% join. It's pretty elite and exclusive. Everyone else use the free resources. That's why I do this. So you'll see all the free resources, my YouTube channel and all the rest of it as well. And there's a whole bunch. If you go to AlpeshBatel.com/Shares, you'll be able to see how we do in previous years as well. Okay. You'll see all of that. And not just rising markets, falling as well. 2022, we had to hold cash the whole year. I can't help it. Inheritax, do we need to retire earlier? Like you said, the tax man will take it. Do you guys do estate planning with— we don't do estate planning. No, it's a regulated activity. The way I plan my estate, I grow my portfolio in equities as much. It's really simple. I do it the Warren Buffett way. I have a certain amount in cash, 2 years worth of expenditure in cash. The rest is in equities growing as much as possible and reinvested, rebalanced annually. I make as much as possible. What the taxman takes, the taxman takes. I don't have complicated convoluted trust. I have a trust for my life insurance policy because apparently that's a sensible thing to do. I don't have, I don't use my non-dom if I've still got it status. I pay all my tax in the UK. I don't have offshore trust, offshore companies. The hedge fund is offshore, but that's because then I don't have to pay tax to Switzerland. Because they don't charge it, or Luxembourg, or Cayman. I only pay tax in Britain because I'm British. I don't want to pay freaking foreigners my tax.
