8 Portfolio Websites the felt Unreal

In this energetic YouTube commentary, the host showcases eight designer portfolio websites, all built with Framer, and breaks down the standout visual and interactive features of each. The video begins with a humorous, self‑deprecating tone, then walks through each portfolio—Tim (Shopify), Jack (Bourne), Tabao (Specify), Claudio (creative director/Opal Camera), Andres (senior product designer at Facet), Rahith (Daily Objects), and Serge—highlighting custom cursors, particle simulations, scroll‑based parallax, animated typography, subtle text transitions, and responsive layouts. The host contrasts Framer with earlier experiences on Wix and Webflow, praising Framer’s designer‑friendly canvas, Figma‑like workflow, and ease of creating precise, responsive interactions without complex class management. Free portfolio templates and a comprehensive guide are linked in the description, inviting viewers to join the “Bat Family” of Framer users. Throughout, the narrator mixes enthusiastic praise (“banger”) with self‑critical jokes about his own portfolio, encouraging viewers to improve their own work.

Portfolio bangers. Residents of Gotham, today we're going through some amazing portfolio websites with insane interactions, responsive design, unbelievable aura, and they're all built on Framer, my favorite website builder. Will these portfolios make you question your self-worth? Yes. Will you be screaming for mommy? Also yes. Do I actually think that I'm Batman. Dude, this portfolio, absolutely out of this world. So this is Tim's portfolio, a staff product designer at Shopify, and his portfolio seems to be inspired by Dune with these particles simulating spice extraction. And check out how my mouse sucks in all these particles. Pause. And when I hover over these moons, this custom cursor animates. Sick. I like the sticky text on the left. Let's see the rest of his portfolio. It looks like he starts off with a bang in his hero section, but doesn't overdo the interactions on the rest of his portfolio. He includes a simple 2-column card view on his other projects. Love it. Banger, dude. It's a banger. Oh, this loading transition was so sick. This is Jack's portfolio, a lead designer at Bourne. And great minds think alike because I made a similar loading transition on a previous portfolio. So, nice, solid job. But what's this? Oh, dude, that's, that's really cool. That little scroll effect. Really cool. It's also on brand with his loading transition too. Mm. Mm. Parallax image scroll effect. Banger. Custom mouse cursor. Banger. Case study interactions. Banger. I mean, he just does a phenomenal job with his scroll-based interactions. Kind of jealous. I literally hate how much I love this right now. Unbelievable, dude. I hate you. Oh, Tabao, what are you— what are you doing to me with those sexy letter animations? Oh my gosh, that was incredible. That was a flex. I wonder how he did that. So he's currently a motion designer from Specify, and apparently according to his about section, he's based in north of France where he makes 3D objects dance. It rhymed. Indeed. I love this like retro tech vibe going on. It's unique, it's vintage. Oh, and what's this? Oh, now this is This is 10 out of 10. Like, whoa. I've never seen anyone do this, something like this before. I love this. I'm obsessed. Now I got to throw my portfolio away because my portfolio sucks in comparison to this. This is just unbelievable. So the crazy part is that every single one of these really interactive, beautifully designed portfolios on this video were built on Framer. If you're not familiar with Framer, it's one of my favorite ways to build websites. When I first started making websites, I was building on tools like Wix, where I felt frustrated on how difficult it was to adjust my designs for mobile devices. I couldn't add custom interactions the way I wanted to, and buttons were just really hard to edit for some reason. And overall, I felt just very limited by what I can actually create. Then I went to Webflow, a super powerful way to build websites, yes, but like way too complicated and time-consuming for my tastes, especially since you have to manage all these class names and nesting of class names and nesting of nesting of class names. So when I finally decided to switch to Framer, it was like a breath of fresh air because I could still create that like really precise, responsive, interactive website without worrying about all the complicated stuff that happens behind the scenes. Actually using Framer felt easy and familiar because as a designer, I'm using tools like Figma all the time and they follow a similar canvas-based approach when you're creating websites. So I thought that was really cool. And I'm also linking some free portfolio templates in the description down below. Below so you can officially join the cult and join the Bat Family. I'm telling you. This is Claudio's portfolio, a design heavy hitter. He's currently a creative director at his own agency, but he's also worked as head of design at Opal Camera. And what I love most about his portfolio is that there's a design maturity to it. It's demure, very mindful. It's not overly interactive, and his layout has a great use of spacing and typography. I also really love his subtle text transitions on his case study. It feels like just right, like just perfect. And I love his work page, the cloud hovering idea, the final, final reference. It's actually making me want to trash my portfolio. So, but seriously, dude, like, this is a banger and my portfolio sucks. So bad. And I hate you. I don't hate you, but you're insulting me right now. And no one's gonna want to hire me because they're gonna look at your portfolio and then look at mine and be like, "This is Andres's portfolio, a senior product designer at Facet, and this is exactly what I imagined Apple would have if they created a portfolio." Clean. And simple, but elevated with these hover-to-play interactions. The rounding of the corner, the expansion of the arrow icon. It's almost like inviting you to click. There's also a lot to learn here. For example, his portfolio was designed to show his work as early as possible, which I'm a fan of, and I think I actually want to tweak my own portfolio possibly to highlight my work earlier. Oh, and it looks like he actually has a showreel. Well, we got to play that. Oh, that's really cool. He has those like animations just right. Oh, that's so clean. Damn, I need a showreel too. Damn, we got an illustrator in the house. This portfolio is from Rahith, an artist and designer at Daily Objects. It looks like he's a Batman fan too. Let's go, Animatic Best Bros. You could tell that this portfolio is uniquely handcrafted. Oh, I just— there's so much I love about this portfolio. This is just so unique that no one can— he's paved his own path. No one can truly emulate him. Oh, and what if these poor letters dream of freedom from the pages and screen? Perhaps they long to love or kill or rearrange themselves at will. Oh, that's poetic. That is poetic and awesome. I am a fan. I am such a fan. Scroll effects. Dude, this is a— this is a really solid portfolio. Like, I feel like this is a poet's portfolio, perhaps, you know, Shakespeare. This is what Shakespeare would have if he had a portfolio like this. This is sick. I'm just saying. All right, let's check out this other portfolio by Serge. Ooh, nice, nice little transitionary animations. Premium branding, web design, and product design. Ooh, I like the scroll-based interactions. Okay. Okay. I create beautiful experiences that delight and engage users. Yes. And by the way, you are beautiful. So that was kind of weird. So good. Okay. I'm liking the pink. Okay. Oh, wow. This is really cool. Testimonials. Okay. Sheesh. Oh, you got the horizontal scroll. Oh my gosh, that is so cool. And it's like so like responsive. It doesn't feel laggy at all. Yeah, I got to quit my job as a designer because I'm just— I'm not doing this right, you know, like my portfolio is ass. If you've enjoyed this video, don't forget to comment "You're literally Batman" to feed my delusions, please. That's, that's what I do this for. And check out this comprehensive portfolio guide I actually put together. I spent hours on this. Or check out more inspiration too, right here. And then you can do that too. All right, guys, God bless and Batman out.
