In this informal vlog, Andres Gonzalez Gonzalez, a recent business‑degree graduate, walks viewers through his daily work as a Business Analyst for a company that offers an all‑in‑one business software suite (Odoo). He explains that most of his time is spent in the office, but occasionally he travels to meet prospects and give presentations. Andres describes his core responsibilities: analyzing a client’s operations, asking detailed questions about workflows, users, and goals, and then configuring and implementing Odoo to match those needs. He positions himself as the “matchmaker” between the client’s business processes and the company’s software, bridging gaps that typically exist when businesses use disparate tools like QuickBooks or Salesforce. While clients view him as an expert, he emphasizes a student mindset, constantly learning to determine what is possible within the platform. The video invites viewers—especially business majors—to ask questions in the comments.

Hey, how's it going guys? My name is Andres Gonzalez Gonzalez and today I'm going to be showing you guys what I've been up to ever since I graduated last year with a business degree. I know some of you may be business majors or maybe business focused, and so hopefully I can bring some light into what it is I do as a business analyst. So yeah, so hopefully I could do that. Finally, I'm back. I'm here. Just finished unpacking, and I just want to make it very clear that I don't actually always travel. This is not part of my daily routine in my job. I'm actually spending most of my time at the office. This just happens to be a treat by my company who decided to fly me out for— to talk to prospects about our software system. But anyway, the reason I'm here is because I actually have a presentation that I'm doing. I'm actually giving a presentation on our company and what our company does, our software product, and what I do. So if you're interested in that, keep watching the video.
My name is Brandon Johnson.
Hey.
Andres Gonzalez. I'm a business advisor, he's a business analyst. What that means is he's the one who implements the systems, I'm the one who sells them.
My job here is is simply to tell you why you should consider having a dedicated consultant for your subscription. I'm going to ask you a whole bunch of questions. How does your business operate? How do you plan to use Odoo? Who are the people that you need to talk to to accomplish certain tasks? What are the type of users that are going to be using Odoo? Fully understand what your business does, and then I'm able to provide you context. I'm able to give you solutions that particularly matter to your specific needs of your specific businesses. So hopefully I want to clear some things up. When you're in Vegas— Alright, so if it wasn't clear about what it is that I actually do, I'm gonna try to explain it here in this video. And before I actually can explain what I do personally, I think it'd be better if I actually start off by saying what my company does and how I fit into that overall operation. So my company offers a software product to business owners, and so everything from sales, accounting, inventory, manufacturing, you name it. We have a website builder. We provide an all-in-one type of solution. This solves a problem because a lot of business owners are using using QuickBooks, or using Salesforce, or using all these different types of systems that don't really talk to each other. And if they do, it's often very expensive to build out this, you know, integration between Salesforce and etc. And so where I come into the picture is after, you know, a business owner decides to purchase a subscription of our software product, I'm the guy that is supposed to analyze the business, work directly with the client, and implement the software product into their business. And typically we try to do this as fast and as effective as possible. I'm essentially the matchmaker between a client's business and, you know, my company's software product. I'm the guy who kind of brings it all together. What that requires me to do is I have to interact with a client frequently. I have to understand their business, understand how they operate, understand the people that are going to use this software product, and ultimately and also understand what the best practices are to achieve a certain goal. Although, you know, from the client perspective I'm looked at as an expert, I actually always think of myself as a student. I'm always constantly learning and I don't know everything. And so when a client asks me for a very specific need, I have to figure out if that's even possible within our system. So yeah, I hope that kind of explains what it is that I do. And if you guys still have questions, I mean, feel free to comment below and I'll go go ahead and answer them.
