This is a YouTube video titled "Bootstrapped Startup Publication Launch" containing a monologue from August 8, 2021, where a speaker announces the launch of Microquire, a platform aimed at sharing stories of bootstrapped startups and their founders. The speaker emphasizes the value of these real entrepreneurial journeys over typical venture capital success stories, encouraging startups with over a million in revenue to share their stories and gain recognition.
All right, I just wanted to give an announcement on yesterday's announcement. Microquire is going to launch, essentially, TechCrunch for bootstrappers. That's really what we're going for. We want to tell stories about, you know, how the company was created, what's the background of the founder, you know, interesting milestones, like, how did you get your first customers? You know, all the good stuff, like the stories that you would read a decade ago that made you, like, dream about being an entrepreneur and make you feel like you could do it instead of these, like, ridiculous, you know, articles like, just raised like, 500 million or, you know, it just, It's. It's not the reality of what startups are today. There are thousands of Bootstrap founders raising no venture capital, building profitable businesses, and that is amazing. And we want to tell those stories because those are the real unicorns. My book, it's basically playing startup on hard mode. And so what we saw today was incredible. Like, just the response, the support, like, you know, it really means a lot to me. Like, it. It truly, it made my weekend. Like, I. I really do appreciate just every single one of you. And we're moving. So if you have a startup doing over a million revenue, we want to tell your story. We want to help you get more customers. We want to get you the attention you deserve. I want to even send you a trophy. We're going to send you a trophy engraved with your name on it, and it's going to be awesome because you deserve it. Bootstrap founders are climbing the mountain with no equipment, and we want to. We want to tell those stories because that's what I want to hear. And those are the founders I have the most respect for. So thanks for everyone's support. It means a lot, and we're super excited to kick this off.
