Andrew Postell shows how he communicates with his general contractor through an online portal to manage rehabs. His contractor handles about 200 rehabs a year in Dallas-Fort Worth and responds fast. Postell met him through a local real estate investing group and recommends finding reliable partners through networking rather than chasing the cheapest bid.

Hey now, welcome to another Drew 2. I want to talk about my real estate investing pictures that I took over the weekend from my last post. I'm in my office right now because my mother doubted that I actually worked over the weekend with all the fun things I've been doing lately. Yes, mom, I do work. Here I am in the office. So, what I'm doing today is I'm loading the pictures into my general contractor's portal, sending the message, and I want them to follow up. Let me show you what I mean. Here is the portal. There's the name of the company. Here's the calendar that they've got, all of our communication. And here's the one that I sent today with the pictures that I loaded up, and they've already responded to it. Exactly what we want from a contractor— good communication. If you're looking at me like a little cross-eyed, yeah, it's not normal for a general contractor to have an online portal for you to communicate with them. But this one is very reliable, trusted, does like 200 rehabs a year, multiple crews. There's a reason why we use this person in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Andrew, are they expensive? I mean, I don't know. They're very competitive, and usually the cheapest person turns out not to be that way when it's all said and done. So I will take reliability and trusted over cheap any day of the week. And by the way, they're not expensive. So in this regard, how did I even meet my contractor? Through a real estate investing group. Yeah, I've actually got him coming to speak at one of my real estate groups this month. So come out and meet other real estate investors, talk to the contractors, feel out who's good for you and really worth working with. And Mom, Yes, I'm still hard at work, and I'll be working later today and next week too. All the time. Hey, I'm Andrew Postell. Thanks for watching today's Drew Two. We'll talk with you soon.
