There's one thing that separates those people who consistently make 6 figures a month in their coaching business from those who continue to struggle. But even more importantly, until you fix this one thing, any success that you do end up creating is gonna be built on sand and is likely to fall apart at some point. So watch this video through to the end because it's likely to be one of the most important videos you watch this year. Now, I've worked with billionaires, multiple 8 and 9-figure entrepreneurs, and top sports stars. And there's one trait that sets them apart from everyone else, and I'm going to show you how to create that for yourself in this video. Now let me share something with you that's going to sound a bit crazy, but I promise you it's true. All of the success, all of the results, all of the money, everything you want in life is right there in front of you waiting to be unlocked. But unless and until you get your mindset and your belief system right, it's always going to feel like it's out of reach, like there's some kind of invisible barrier holding you back. Let's fix that for you right now. Now let me share just a little bit of my story with you so you understand where I'm coming from. Now, several years ago, I went through a really tricky divorce. It left me pretty much financially wiped out and multiple 6 figures in debt. So I wasn't just living month to month. Sometimes it was day to day. Sometimes it was hour to hour. It was a really difficult time. But what I noticed even more importantly was I felt like I'd been carrying around this kind of invisible barrier, this invisible ceiling that I'd been hitting up against. I knew, maybe like you do, that I had huge capabilities within me. I knew I was capable of a lot more and that my potential was much bigger than anything that I'd shown so far. But I was almost like, no matter what, no matter what I try, no matter how hard I work, I can't quite seem to break through to that next level. And it really frustrated me. Now, here's what changed everything. When I came to learn and understand some of the mindset shifts that I'm going to share with you today, within 2 years, I got out of that multiple 6 figures of debt. I had written a book and got it to number 1 on Amazon, and I'd built a coaching business that I'd grown to $40K a month from a standing start. Now, it wasn't that any of the strategies and tactics were completely new to me, but what was, was my ability to execute on them, my ability to access the potential and the capabilities and the talents I had within me and make the things that I wanted to happen actually happen. I finally understood what all of those millionaires, sports stars, entrepreneurs would later share with me. It's not about the strategy. It's not about the tactics. It's not even about the opportunities. It's about the mindsets that allow you to succeed no matter where you're starting from, no matter the challenges or the circumstances you faced. And once I fixed that in my mind, everything became possible. So let me share with you what I learned. Now, here's the first mindset shift belief that you've got to get right. And I would tell you that nearly all personal development books and teaching gets this completely back to front, and it's what blocks most people from unlocking the success that they're capable of. Nearly everyone will tell you that you've got to get your actions right, and that leads to the change that you want to see. But all of our actions, all of our behaviors flow from our identity. In really simple terms, we're incapable of creating a level of success that's misaligned with our sense of our own identity, our sense of who we are. So think of it like this. If you have the identity of a coach who's only capable of making $5K a month or only getting a few clients or never really succeeding much beyond that low level, you will always end up defaulting to the behaviors that align with that. So you'll always end up making the choices that align with your sense of your identity. You'll make the marketing choices, you'll make the pricing choices, the way you come across on your sales calls, the way you come across in your ads, will all ultimately reflect at some level that identity. Whereas when you flip your identity into someone for whose success is normal and natural, for whose 6-figure months are just the expected, natural, inevitable outcome, all of the way that you operate, all of the choices that you make, all of the freedom with which you execute on the things that you know you need to do will flow from that different identity. So if your identity is down here, you can know and understand the actions of an entrepreneur or a coach up here, But you'll always end up defaulting down to this level. Get your identity right, and then all of your actions, behaviors will naturally go to that level, even if you face difficulties and challenges. So whereas almost everyone tells you, you start with your behaviors, I'm like, no, that's wrong. You've got to design and then live into a character that allows you to achieve the goals that you're looking to execute on. So you've got to achieve the character, and the character achieves the goals. You don't start with the actions. because then you're just dealing with the symptoms rather than the root causes. So it's like a positive flywheel. When you design and get your identity right, that's fit for the outcome that you want, that identity will create the actions and the choices that create the results that give you the belief, that give you the understanding that this is available to you, that feed back into that identity. And so you rinse and repeat, and that's why it gets stronger and stronger. But as I said earlier, even more importantly, when you get this bit right, It's not just that it creates the positive flywheel of results, it's the identity that will mean that any of the natural challenges, difficulties, and setbacks that you face along the way don't slow you down, don't block you. They just become part of the journey. So it's not just a way of getting to success, it's the insurance policy against any failure. So the second part of this is what we call radical ownership. Now, what I mean by that is you kill your excuses. You give yourself no airtime for the excuses that that negative voice, what we call the inner critic, wants to give you about why you cannot or it's not available to you to achieve the success that you want. So, so many people I talk to when they're trying to break through to the next level will give me the whole laundry list of reasons about why their circumstances, their business, where they live, the nature of something in their lives is a reason why other people can succeed and they can't. Now, when that becomes the way that you think, your thought pattern, It means that you are training your mind to find reasons why you can't do something, even if it's completely otherwise available to you. And then what you'll see is someone else in either the same or very similar circumstances will somehow find a way to break through. The difference is not the circumstances. The difference is the level to which we indulge those excuses. Now, I'm not saying people don't have more or less challenging starting points. What I'm saying is the amount of time you give to focus on those reasons why things might be difficult versus the steps that you can take is ultimately what will define the results and the success that you're looking for. So radical ownership means taking 100% responsibility for where you're going and for the outcomes that you achieve, irrespective of how good, bad, or indifferent your circumstances may be. Here's what I want you to understand. Every excuse is actually just a story that you're telling yourself. The level of barrier that you define that it puts in front of you is actually defined far more up here than it is out there. And that's a good thing because it means that you can control how much it trips you up and slows you down. So always be clear, no matter the circumstances, I'm going to focus on what I'm going to do next to get there. Now, the 3rd mindset shift is that the most successful people design their life in detail on paper before they actually live it. They have a crystal clear vision for their life, built out, fully detailed, rich and vibrant. They know exactly where they're going. So you can't go and build— you can't go anywhere without having a map of where you're trying to get to. But that map comes from understanding where your destination is. Most people have at best a kind of vague wishy-washy idea of where they're going. They have this sense that they want to be happy, they want to be free, they want to be rich, they want to have financial freedom. But those are not clear and detailed and specific. To build out that map, you've got to build out a detailed, vision and design for your life so you know exactly what you're doing. The reason why that matters is that when you get clear on that vision, it becomes your source of inspiration. Now, again, another really big problem with most of personal development is they will talk about motivation. Motivation requires a lot of energy and hard work. Inspiration is just something that fuels you almost infinitely. So when you are so excited about the life that you're building, when it feels so amazing and vibrant, And you are so clear in your mind of what it looks like, you are just gonna get on and do the things that you know you need to do, and it's gonna be enjoyable and fun. And so where everyone else will think you're working hard, you are like, this is the best time I've ever had because I love it, because I'm so excited about where I'm going. Now, you wouldn't go on a journey without knowing what your destination is. You wouldn't just take a trip across the country without understanding the map and the destination of where you're trying to go. But that's precisely how most people live their life, and it's why they don't end up in the right place. So get crystal clear on what's the vision for not just your business, but your life within that business. Understand that picture in detail, and then every day you'll be working towards it with the power of inspiration rather than motivation. Now, the next big mindset is that the most successful people are ready to do what I call intelligent failure. Most people are terrified about failing in some way, shape, or form. And it's the absolute dream killer. It holds them back from creating all of the success that they're absolutely capable of. Now, the way you get people to a much better place is by getting them to change their connection with that experience. One mentor I worked with said something that transformed the way that I teach things with people, which is, he said, change itself is really easy. The difficult part is making people feel safe to change. When people feel safe, they'll naturally do the things that they're already aware of that they need to get on with. So when you're in the place where you understand that failure isn't the way, isn't a different path to success, but it's part of the journey towards success, i.e., you can't achieve success without experiencing some failure, that gives you the ability to lean into doing imperfect reps, to getting started more quickly, to taking that imperfect action, to getting better and better. So whenever I started on social media, I didn't know what I was doing. When I started doing these videos, I was no good at it at all, but I'm leaning into the imperfect reps because I know that's the only way I go from being not very good to being okay, to being better, to being pretty good, to being really good, to being amazing. The more I can, and the more and quicker I can lean into those imperfect reps, I'm going to create the momentum behind my success that I need. Rather than what most people do is they'll avoid that failure. They'll avoid that fear of— they'll move away from that fear of judgment and they'll stay stuck where they are. Now, the way you can start to shift this is by using what I call intelligent failure, which means how do you fail intelligently and safely on your terms? So let me give you a couple of examples. When I first started recording the videos for one of my coaching programs, I'd never spoken on camera before. My background was working in big corporate. I did speaking in front of crowds every now and again in front of my team, but not on camera. So I knew it wasn't a question of, you know, was it a possibility? I 100% knew when I started doing that, I was gonna suck at it. I was gonna be terrible. So what I did was recorded 50 videos just for me so I could get used to talking on camera, figure out my style, get comfortable, get natural on camera. So I did the first 10 videos and they were embarrassingly terrible. I then did the second 10 videos and they were still pretty bad, but slightly less terrible than the first 10 videos. The third 10 videos were approaching probably the level of reasonable mediocrity. The fourth 10 videos, I was starting to get reasonably good. And then the last kind of 5 to 10 videos was when I really found my style. No one else has ever seen those videos. They're as embarrassing as you can imagine, but I used intelligent failure just to get on with it. I did those 50 videos in about 3 weeks to get really good at it. I had one client once who was looking to start trading, stock market trading. They hadn't done it for a long time. And it was because they had this real fear of losing money. So what I said to them was, figure out a level of money that you are prepared to lose, whether that's $50, $100, $2,000, whatever it is, because I want you to start undertaking some real trades. So they started doing that and within a few weeks they'd figured out that they were able to consistently make somewhere around 10% return on their money every month. So stop waiting to be ready. Stop trying to make sure that you avoid any possibility of failure. You have to lean into that intelligent failure to go from not knowing what you're doing to getting a basic level of knowledge, to getting good at it, to getting to the level of mastery. And it's that level of mastery that unlocks that breakaway set of results. So lean into intelligent failure so you can supercharge and fast-track your success. The next one is I want to start talking about some of the beliefs around money and particularly your ability to charge the prices that your expertise warrants and deserves. The biggest difference that I see between successful coaches and less successful coaches is their ability to simultaneously create a really good result for their clients and charge for that result. Now, again, a lot of this comes back to the connection with your sense of your own identity, right? If you don't think, if you don't believe that you're good, your charging, your price points are going to reflect that. You're going to charge by the hour instead of for an outcome. You're gonna charge hundreds of dollars for a session, or maybe even less than that, rather than thousands of dollars for a result. And the reason why that matters is what you're demonstrating through those low price points is, if we're gonna be really blunt, you're charging like someone who doesn't believe in what you do. You don't stand behind what you do, because if you really believed you could get the result that you're saying you can, then you would charge a price commensurate with that. And the difference between successful coaches that hit 6 figures really quickly and those that take a long time to get there or never do is that ability to lean into charging as the expert. Experts charge expert prices. Your identity needs to be aligned with, I charge some of the biggest prices in my niche because I get the best results. And the reason why that matters is the higher prices attract better clients, which gives you better results, which gives you better testimonials, and another positive flywheel is put in place. So charge like an expert, charge like a pro. Your low prices aren't helping anyone. They're actually just a reflection of low self-worth. Now, the next mindset shift, or the belief you need to change, is about having the ability to buy speed. Now, what I mean by that is whenever I have a problem or a challenge that I'm not finding myself resolving quickly enough, I will find and reach out to a coach or an expert who can help me deal with that specific problem. Because what it means is, am I gonna be able to get past that problem far quicker than if I just tried to stick at it purely by myself? And every time I've done that, what I've done is accelerate my journey faster and faster to the results that I want, to getting the business started, to the first sale, to the first $10K month, to the first $50K month, to the first $100K month. Every time that I've tapped into someone else's expertise who's been there and done what I'm looking to achieve, my progress has speeded up because rather than wasting years or months or weeks on guesswork and painful mistakes, I've bought the proven process. I've got that installed, I've got that working, I've got that dialed in. And so I'm continuing to compound my results and get momentum. So what I really want you to take from this, and I'm sure, you know, I get it that I'm saying this as a coach, but I'm telling you because it's also the truth, that it's far better to get to those results quickly. There's a famous entrepreneur called Alex Hormozi who said, you either pay for this with time or you pay for this with money. And he's completely right. Now, the problem is, is most people will think that the smarter move is to pay for it with time, but your time is the one thing you can never get more of. You can get more money, you cannot get more time. So you can shortcut your pathway to the results that you want by leaning into and working with experts who know the path that you want to go down. So get that momentum because it's the fastest path to the months and the revenues that you want. The most successful people don't see that as an expense. They see it as a genuine investment and very logically so. So the question to ask yourself is how much is what you don't know costing you? So if say your target is to make $100K a month and you're currently at say $30K a month, then the cost of what you don't know is $70K for every month that you don't have that knowledge, that you don't have that system in place. You don't have the expert understanding of what you need to do. to get to those $100K a month. So if you do that for 3 months, that's cost you $210,000. Whenever I have that problem, I want to get there as fast as possible. I'll invest in whatever I need to, to get there because I know of the, of the money that I'm missing out on by not doing that. So buy speed so you can compress your timeline. Now here's the last one that really makes a huge difference. The best business owners, the best coaches, the best entrepreneurs are really good at building momentum and just taking the next step. They know that success is a process. The way I describe it is it's simple but not necessarily easy. It's a matter of doing the right things in the right order. So they know that if they do just the next step and then do the next step and then do the next step at the right time and in the right way, the success and the results will come. The only way those results won't come is if they stop or give up. So what they see is that if one person can achieve that success by following those steps, if they follow that formula step by step, then soon enough over time, they will get there. They will start to see those results. They'll implement the lessons and they'll get better and better. So they have that patience with the pressure that rather than feeling like they need to see immediate results straight away, which is where a lot of people give up, that they need to get those reps in. They need to keep going. They build that momentum and they just take the next step. A lot of the time when I'm working with clients and coaches, what I see is they're spinning lots and lots of plates rather than just building that momentum and taking the next step. They're dissipating their momentum by trying to do 5 things at once. The best people have focus. They're sniper-focused on the needle-moving activities that make the single biggest difference. In simple terms, what they say is, what's the one thing that if I got it done would make the biggest difference to my business? And then they work on that. And they keep completely focused on that until it's done and then they rinse and repeat. Now just imagine for a second if you'd focused on that one thing for the last year, 3 years, 5 years, or 10 years, where do you think you would be now? So the opportunity is then you can't go back and change that, but you can start that process now. So then in a year from now or 3 months from now or 6 months from now, you can see those transformational results really quickly. So just take that next step, and then when you've done it, take the next step after that. Rinse and repeat until you get the results you want. The people that achieve success, it wasn't happening in a straight line. It didn't happen overnight, but they just kept going until, and they kept focused on the steps that mattered the most. So let me ask you this. What beliefs are currently holding you back? Do you have the identity of someone for whose success feels normal, inevitable, and natural? Or is it that you think it's only truly available to someone else? Because when you make those shifts, when you put those mindset changes in place that I've just described, you start to unlock all of the results you're looking for. Most people don't start that journey until it's too late. My invitation to you is to start that today. I really hope this video and my book, if you want it as well, can be the catalyst to help you get unlocked, to unleash the greatness that I promise you is within you. Stop making excuses. Just start taking that next step because the life you want is right there in front of you. Promise you that. I hope this helps and I'll see you in the next video.
