Top 6 Reasons Why You're Not Making Money as a Coach or Healer

Anna Kitney identifies six obstacles keeping coaches and healers from earning: weak self-belief, unclear niching, underpricing, staying in comfort zones, poor money mindset, and not moving to package-based offerings.
Hi, this is Anna Kateney and I'm hopping on today to give you a quick little training, the six reasons you're not making money as a coach or a healer. So the first and the biggest obstacle to you and your success is actually you don't believe in yourself and you don't believe in the work. If you are not feeling confident in your ability to deliver a service to your client, no one will book, no one will buy. You will energetically communicate that people will feel that some level that you're not trustworthy and they won't be magnetized to you. They won't put the money down because you don't believe in you. You see, everyone out there will always reflect back to you what your belief systems are, what your mindset is. So if you don't trust that you're a good healer or good coach, then people will not enroll with you. If you are doubting the technique that you're using, whether it's the healing or pranic healing or reiki or whatever coaching you're doing, if you're doubting the actual process that you have, that you have faith, 100% faith in it, that will also hold you back, okay? So you must get to a place where you recognize that your work is of highest service, highest service and worthy of massive compensation. So very, very important you do go through those workbooks and really get really clear on your zone of genius. What are you really good at? Where are your gifts and talents in regards to being a healer or a coach? Number two, not niching. Now, this may seem counterintuitive, but the more you hone in, the more you narrow down on who you're supposed to serv, the more success you will have, the more people you reach. Now, in Theta healing, for example, it's so broad that you can work on any issue from emotional, physical, mental, spiritual. It's so broad. But if you're out there trying to heal everybody, you're going to heal nobody. Okay? So the more you niche down, the more you narrow down who you'd love to serve, then it becomes much, much easier to hone in your marketing message. Okay? So when someone comes to your website, they're going to go, oh my God, she knows exactly my problem. She knows exactly where I'm stuck. This is exactly who I need to help me. That's what you want them to come and feel when they come to your website. They come to your website and they read the header on your on your website or they see a post, they go, oh my God, she understands me, she gets me. Where do I find her number? How do I contact her? This person is for me. So you really want to niche down. So definitely review the niche workbook. Number three, bartering, haggling, giving away sessions, lowering your prices. Now there's a temptation right now with what's happening with the economy with COVID to start to discount a lot of people going into fear and they are doing this tactical strategy. However, it is one of the fastest ways to go out of business. If you are, if you are allowing or available to start to haggle with a client where that client's like, oh, can I get a discount and can I do a 12 month payment plan instead of a 6 month plan? If you open yourself up for this, then you've lost the respect of your clients and if that's how the relationship starts, that's how it's going to continue. Okay, so bartering, giving sessions away for free or even lowering your prices, don't do that. Instead you want to look how you can add more value. How could you add more value to that package? So for example, it might be if they enroll for that three month program, there might be a bonus of a customized bespoke recorded meditation that you do for them. And that might be, you know, on your phone with your little Rhodes microphone plugged in and you record the audio and you send that audio to your client. You don't have to worry about music, but it's a custom channel meditation for your client, very quick and easy to prepare. That's just one example. It might be a PDF of a mantras that can help a client throughout that three month program. Get creative, add value instead of lowering your prices. Number three, where you again, if you are just starting out as a coach or healer and you want to get your teeth sunk into some practice clients. Fabulous. Do those one off sessions. But at some point you've got to put a limit on how many one off sessions you do. At some point, like, okay, I'm getting the hang of this, I'm getting confident, I'm getting some results, I'm getting good feedback. It's now time to transition to packages. Okay, so you've got to give yourself a limit of when you're going to transition from this one off sessions into packages. And that might be a package of five sessions with one package, with one session free or say a 20% discount. You get to pick, right? So it's going to be more cost effective for them to book that five session package. Right. That's why you want them. And also you're going to get much more committed client. We do talk about this in the program. You know the mental shift you need to make from going this firefighting one off sessions to a package. Okay, we talk about that in the high end packages model. So do review that so you can get your head around the benefit not just to you financially, but the benefit to your client. Why would your client want to enroll on packages instead of on one off sessions? Okay, Very, very important. Next number five, money drama. Okay, now this is going to be an ongoing process. Ongoing process. You'll come back to the topic of money and clearing your money beliefs through the various stages of your business when you're reaching your 2k months, 5k months, 10k months, 50k months, 100k months, 500k months. Like new level, new devil, if you will. Okay, so very important that you do commit to working on yourself or your accountability buddy. On the mindset around money, stuff comes up like, oh, a client wants to cancel halfway through a program. Do you have policies and procedures? But also how does that feel that a client's come to you halfway through and change their mind, for example, or they put the money down and now they want a refund because they've chickened out. Or your embarrassment and shame for asking for 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, whatever the price point is for you beliefs about that it's wrong to take money for spiritual work or it's wrong to receive money from people who are sick. These are all the things you need to work on, right? Very, very, very important that you clear this because you've got hang ups with money. You're going to struggle to allow that to come to you, that there will be this resistance. And again, it'll be reflected back by people paying late, wanting refunds, saying they're going to book and then not book. All of those is not the client's fault. It's our resistance. So when we clear our resistance and then the clients are happy to pay you money because you've got no energetic block to actually receiving. Okay? So releasing guilt, shame and fear around money. And finally, number six, playing small. Some of you are trying to build your business from your comfort zone, right? But there are a lot of tactics and strategies and processes in this program that are going to push you to do something different, something that you've never done before. And it's going to feel uncomfortable, right? The first time you've done a Facebook Live or the first time you do a webinar and there's all these buttons to press. Yes. The first time, it's going to get uncomfortable. But after your 10th, 20th webinar, it'll be smooth sailing. It's like driving a car. If you remember when you got driving lessons, at first it was very clumsy, and now you're probably not even thinking about changing the gear shift. Flickering left and right indicator. It just happens automatically. Okay. So you can't try and build your business from your comfort zone. That this program does challenge you to do different things. Okay. Different things. And just know that's part of expanding from your comfort zone into your stretch zone. Guys, it's time to go big. It's time to go big. I really want you guys to succeed. I'm committed to your success. Right. I've shown you the path. Now you have to walk it. You get to decide. You get to decide.
