Trust requires that you don't know 100% that that thing's gonna work.
Yeah.
So in order to trust, there's a risk. And that's what we did. We took a risk and we trusted each other.
Boy, did we.
I grew up in a family where there was not a lot of trust. When I was 6 years old, my dad left us. And so my mom had to raise us by herself. And so there's like that idea that I grew up with that you cannot trust men. And a lot of the relationships of my friends and the people around me were like that. Oh, don't trust 100%. So what was so amazing about meeting you was that you and I both together decided we're going to trust each other.
How could you have possibly known that given the fact that we met when I was 24 and you were 25? Well, I don't know. And you didn't speak a single word of English and I didn't speak a single word of Spanish and you lived in Barcelona and I lived in New York. I mean, how, how in the heck?
That's the beauty of it. I didn't know. I just wanted to do it.
