Basically throughout all of college and a couple years after I graduated, I had been in academia. And academia is great because you get these kind of profound ideas out there, but at the end of the day, they are profound and they, they operate in this world of assumptions and it's kind of untangible. But I want to do something where I can actually make an impact on the lives of everyday Americans. I felt like the perfect way to do this, to transition into public service where, or, you know, you're not just looking at something from a theoretical perspective, but you're actually getting into it. You're getting your hands dirty. You're seeing what kind of problems people face on a day to day basis and what actionable step you can take to help solve that.
